now, I know it might not be their choice — but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.

Freedom of choice is sooooo over rated.

Why oh why are Conservatives getting hoodwinked by this fraud?

Worse, I've seen people even here actually defend how he uses eminent domain abuses. When you hope for change, you'll fall for any clown.

I read this earlier today & had it ended in 1999, I might have not put it so high on my list. But since he also came out in 2005 in favor of taking someones home for personal business gain, well, that is leaving a very bitter taste in my mouth that I don't know that I'll be able to rinse away.

Another item on my list is his position on amnesty and I mean ANY SORT of amnesty. He seems to be steering clear of that subject for the moment.

Now, with all that said, I do believe he has been good for the process. His no holds barred approach seems to have stiffened the spines of a few of the other front runners on my list and so I do want to see him in the primary race. If for nothing else than to hold the rest of the candidates feet to the fire so we can have some honest & wholesome debate that is not just political talking points rambling to pacify the uneducated John Q Public, I vote but I haven't a clue what I am voting for.

Yet, “conservative” FReepers still support Donald Trump. I told you so.

The way I see it, there are zero degrees of separation between Soros and Trump. That is close enough for me to be skeptical of Trump, especially since he’s had far left tendencies right up until now.

“Trump Supports Taking Private Property Of Citizens”

Eminent domain laws are a double edge sword.
As conservatives or libertarians, we would be violently
opposed to the government taking ANY property.

On the other hand, lets say you have a tar paper shack on the bank of a river, and that location is the only logical spot where an interstate bridge can be built.
Do you cancel the bridge to save the shack?

Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

I think it is fair to criticize Donald Trump, but I think it is pretty pathetic to place the blame of eminent domain seizures at his feet.

Developers can’t invoke eminent domain, only government can, and the Supreme Court ruled that it was perfectly legal for government to take property and transfer it to developers.

Blame the Supreme Court, not Donald Trump.

“But the fact is, if you have a person living in an area that’s not even necessarily a good area, and government, whether it’s local or whatever, government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and make area that’s not good into a good area, and move the person that’s living there into a better place — now, I know it might not be their choice — but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.”

Hmmm, sounds a lot like Stalin’s take on private property. So who out there is going to defend THIS?

Here's what Jim Robinson has to say about Trump:

"Trump has had a lot of bad hair days. Just like Romney. Two bad hair guys who are more liberal than they are conservative and both run-of-the-mill liars and political whores. Either will say anything to get ahead. Just working the system the only way they know how. Charlatans."

It would seem the concept of individual freedom and the bill of rights is not as important to Trump as his own enormous ego. More and more he reminds me of Robert Moses.

Trump would be a good conservative, a good socialist, a good monarchist or even a good nazi if being so furthered Trump. He is first and perhaps only an opportunist. I see nothing to like about him except he’s not obama.
I for one will never go for a slickly packaged unknown. A lot of folks did last time and the country has been nearly destroyed. This nation mustn’t do it again.

The primaries are a long way away.

If it's true that Trump is playing us like a fiddle, how 'bout if WE play HIM like a fiddle to help destroy Obama until say at least the fall of this year?

The ONLY reason I pay attention to Trump is he has the stones to take the “Birther/Proofer” issue straight to Obama’s face.

I would never vote for him in a primary, or a general election.

Those comments were made on the date, "Fox News, 7/19/05"

So it's too late to be forced to get twice what my property's worth?

I'm guessing the donald doesn't know that property is still sitting dormant 5 odd years later ? that Pfizer shutdown and moved across the river ?
That all the reasons donald gives for “the taking” didn't pan out?

Well I guess we know a little more about the Trump.

Not like I’d vote for him anyway. It’s not enough to vote for someone just because they are against Obama (but was once for him) if they have equally kooky and unconstitutional ideas.

You’re just swapping one crazy for another. Better to vote for another person entirely.
