“The Aged P...”

Perhaps you are being comical and you know all this already, but just in case....

The Aged P is a name taken from a Dickens book (I think it is Great Expectations) and refers to the elderly Parent of one of the characters. I really don’t remember much more, or not clearly. I also sort of remember that character bemoaning his impoverished lot in life and that he had only “portable property” and not, I take it, “real estate”.

Yes, it’s sort of like Karo Syrup but it has a golden color and is sweeter and has a cleaner taste. It’s probably interchangeable in recipes. I have a can of Lyle’s Golden Syrup and the only ingredient is cane sugar syrup. You could probably make something similar by melting down sugar and water and boiling it. I found my can of Lyle’s golden syrup at a high-end grocery store. You can also buy it on Amazon.
