Dems Say “Tidal Wave of Support for Amnesty Will Drown GOP”
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 14 May 2011 | John Semmens

Posted on 05/14/2011 9:54:30 PM PDT by John Semmens

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) predicted that “a surging tidal wave of support for amnesty will drown GOP hopes in 2012.”

“Polls consistently show the majority of Americans favor allowing those seeking a better life to come to America,” Reid contended. “It’s time that we capitalize on this to sweep aside the impediments that obstruct the process of immigration to this country.”

President Obama seconded Reid’s remarks emphasizing that “it’s the Republicans that are blocking much needed immigration reform, not me,” and asked Latinos to “be patient” with his failure to honor his 2008 campaign promise to end deportations. “You know I’m on your side,” Obama said. “But our enemies remain a formidable force. It will take a united effort from every progressive thinker in America—alive or dead, legal or not—to sweep these reactionaries into the ‘dust bin’ of history.”

In related news, Representative Silvestre Reyes (D-Texas) lambasted GOP assertions that controlling the border should precede immigration reform. “Building a fence, hiring more guards is idiotic and wasteful,” Reyes argued. “We won’t need a fence or guards if we just let everyone who wants to come get in.” As for border violence, “the cartels wouldn’t have to be killing people if we had open borders. No one is going to get involved with smugglers if they can just walk across the border whenever they want.”

So the mask is off. The Dems plan to swamp America and derail the two-party system with a flood of Mexicans.

Yeah. That worked real well for them during the 2010 election. Their echo chambers must drown out any sanity that is left.

So, if we shared a border with China or India. Reid wouldn't have a problem with 100,000,000 Illegals crossing the Border?

I will wager $$ that the tidal wave of illegal immigrant support will be wiped out by the massive mountain of angry unemployed people who have figured out the outsourcing and insourcing is destroying their ability to have a job. I so hope the DEMS run on the amnesty for illegal immigrants plank for 2012.

They will stop at nothing to create division along racial, ethnic, income or gender lines. It’s un-American but that’s where the democrat party is today.

Tidal wave of support? From Whom?
Mexicans and Illegals Yes
But Blacks—No they know Mexicans are their rivals for jobs and government handouts.
Union workers?-—No They know Mexicans are stealing good union jobs by working at low wages.
Young Americans?—No They see Mexicans as rivals for jobs and slots in college.
Middle Class—No—they know that Mexicans will flood welfare child services and medical sites.
It is a short sighted policy that hopes to use feel good propaganda to blind the voters into a power grab. It worked in the past but—in this economy—I don’t think so.

Obama left El Paso illegals with a suggestion---"Make sure you use all your identities to vote for me."

========================================

BERGEN RECORD, NJ---July 21, 2006-------not satire; this really happened.

Texans accused of selling counterfeit IDs
(impoverished illegals "here for a better life" pay several thousand $$$ for fake ID's)

Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses---- for any state in the US------ plus passports and resident alien cards, said state police.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately.

The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

Another Semmens gem:

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced a 180-degree turn from the Bush Administration’s approach to guarding the nation’s security. “By its emphasis on the negative, the Bush Administration gave strength to those who would harm us,” Napolitano contended. “Calling it a ‘war on terror’ for example, elevated the scale of violence and increased the risk that we would provoke more attacks.”

Napolitano cast her new policy as “the power of positive thinking.”

“When I was a small child I was fascinated by the story of Peter Pan,” she said. “Just by thinking happy thoughts the characters could fly. Ultimately, they were able to defeat the pirates and return home safely. If we can create those same positive vibes, we, too, can triumph over the modern day pirates who are causing such mischief around the world.”

Staff members at the Department of Homeland Security have been instructed to revise the language they use to describe the current situation. Out are terms like “terrorist” and “vulnerable.” In place of these negative terms, the Department staff is advised to use “those with a different world view” and “a society open to alternative perspectives of life,” respectively.

Representative Peter King (R-N.Y.), the Republican minority’s top ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, called Napolitano’s strategy “appallingly naïve.” “She's obviously living in some sort of fantasy land,” he wryly observed. “Apparently, she believes we can rely on the ‘kindness of strangers’ to protect us. I think she dangerously mis-perceives the threat.”

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs dismissed King’s criticism as “missing the point.” “The president is an 'internal optimist,' so he does have Peter Pan-like qualities,” Gibbs said.

“He’s brought a new sense of hope to the world. I think if we all give him our unquestioning faith, this country may find a strength that has been blocked by the narrow thinking of the past.” Read more... http://www.azconservative.org/Semmens1.htm
