Their description of the perpetrators of abuse might strike some as hairsplitting. Less than 5 percent of the priests with allegations of abuse exhibited behavior consistent with a diagnosis of pedophilia (a psychiatric disorder that is characterized by recurrent fantasies, urges, and behaviors about prepubescent children), they note. Thus, it is inaccurate to refer to abusers as pedophile priests.
But their explanation is not very comforting. Most sexual abuse victims of priests (51 percent) were between the ages of eleven and fourteen

I think it’s also time for Priests to investigate academics abuse....
The elephant in the room is that most of the abusive priests were homosexuals seducing post-pubescent males (something like 81%).
The media and John Jay have assiduously avoided this issue (to the point that the John Jay study didn't even inquire whether abusive priests were also active homosexuals with adult partners. Many were.)
The reason it's being avoided, of course, is that they don't want to try to fight two battles at once - against abusive priests and their enablers AND the homosexual advocates. The latter group has a lot of money and time and political pull.
But avoiding problems for political reasons doesn't help solve the problem. In fact, it helped caused this problem in the first place.
The relaxed mores of the 60s and 70s were part of the problem, of course. But the real problem began when some American bishops ignored clear instructions from Rome not to allow men with homosexual tendencies into seminary. And they then ignored the traditional instructions on dealing with active homosexuals (let alone pederasts) - removing them from ministry and putting them in a monastery far, far away from the laity. And THEN they believed the shrinks in the 60s and 70s who told them these men could be "cured" by "supportive therapy".
If (some, not all) American bishops had done what they were supposed to do, there never would have been a problem in the first place.
It is all about the Marxian concept of control the language and you control the thoughts. This Wittgenstein understanding of words, leads to the ability of obfuscation of the problem, which means, since they don’t have a handle on the “cause”, they will never be able to end the problem.
The homosexual problem is the elephant in the closet. Not addressing that it is a learned behavior is their denial to get to the truth. All options have to be considered and they are ignoring one aspect of human nature—that it is learned and modeled. Human nature is not deviant unless taught to be deviant...morality is learned and transmitted by experience with the environment.
They would do well to study the facts of the abusers lives...
(from lack of discussion about sex?????????? what silliness is that?????—This is to support obama’s sex ed in schools to Kindergarteners)
Did they suffer physical abuse? (Of course). Emotional abuse? (Definitely) They do not even attempt to get at the two things that are present in the formation of a character which constantly abuses one’s own body in biologically, destructive ways.
It is learned behavior and they would do the world a big favor if they do what the Russians have done to explain “Why” they will not allow the gay pride parade. It is all about the future of children and the modeling of behaviors that are nihilistic. What do the Russians know, that the Church doesn’t admit?
Russians are less PC than the U.S. That is extremely ironic since PC is cultural Marxism. When is the Church going to quit the PC garbage and call a sin, a sin, and get to the root cause of an action? It can be documented and has been in scientific papers. They have their chance to add to the knowledge and substantiate that which is already understood since Aristotle.
Wonder when they’ll get around to investigating the NEA for its out of control, apparently official policy of pedophilia?
HEY!
You stole my line.
We also need someone to look at law enforcement, and someone to look at child psychologists and social workers.
Wolves go where the sheep are.
