Unprecedented? The pro-unionist New York Times encourages unpaid readers to comb through Palins work emails. Theres a form. Derek Willis request below:
On Friday, the State of Alaska will release more than 24,000 of Sarah Palins e-mails covering much of her tenure as governor of Alaska. Times reporters will be in Juneau, the state capital, to begin the process of reviewing the e-mails, which we will be posting on NYtimes.com starting on Friday afternoon.
Were asking readers to help us identify interesting and newsworthy e-mails, people and events that we may want to highlight. Interested users can fill out a simple form to describe the nature of the e-mail, and provide a name and e-mail address so well know who should get the credit. Join us here on Friday afternoon and into the weekend to participate.
The media mobs message seems to be, Dob her in for extra credit!
Not sure if this is what the NYTimes anticipated, however. The Telegraph, UK, reveals:
The release of 24,000 pages of Sarah Palins emails shows that she received a barrage of abusive emails including death threats in the run up to the 2008 presidential race.
Reader Marty, of Hill Valley, California, responds to the request:
I don't recall you soliciting help from people to review the 2,000 page healthcare bill...nor did you do it yourselves.
As Ann Coulter points out in her bestselling book, Demonic, the left-liberal mob thrives on contradictory thinking to establish groupthink.

What does “Dob her in” mean?
We should take them up on their offer and spam the heck out of them.
Make up stuff, like “she cc’s Popeye in this email” and “LOOK, this is where her lunch order doesn’t match what she said she would order!”
I wish I would have thought of this before — a few days organizing and we could have really screwed with their heads.
... and dont forget to report your friends families or neighbors doing such un-American things as opposing national health care, amnesty for illegals, or The President of the United States.
Evidently dob means to report someone to the authorities in Australia.
A perfect opportunity for conservatives, with some time on their hands, to inundate the Times with emails that reveal what a great job Palin did.
How about Illinois releasing 24,000 emails of Present Obama from when he supposedly served congress there and in the Senate. I’ll dob him.
I don’t know,, but it’s a great chance to hold the death threat people accountable. Or more precisely,,, hold the Secret Service accountable. Did they handle death threats against candidate Sarah the way they did against candidate Obama?
I think we already know the answer.

I am not an attorney but, as a private citizen, I would consult with one if an news agency where to promote a campaign to obtain my emails.
It seems to me that there is only one objective they are seeking, they are out to defame, discredit and harm the reputation of a private citizen.
In my opinion, this would be actionable.
To dob someone in is to “tell on someone” or snitch.
I can see why youre peeved. The NYTimes is really after her blood. The Left must fear her too though.
Exactly.
Thats a really good question. Id love to be a fly on the wall.
Good point. It made me angry: because this is a mob persecuting a conservative lady at the end of the day.
Also, with 24,000 emails who on earth knows how much context theyll edit out too? Id say we ask for their personal emails.
