The Non-Quitter: Sarah Palin

Posted on 06/15/2011 11:40:40 AM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

The letter she wrote to her family before the birth of Trig gives us a glimpse into the soul of the penultimate "NON-quitter."

In her email Palin imagines a letter from God to the family about to launch on its challenging child-rearing experience together.

"Then, I put the idea in your hearts that his name should be 'Trig', because it's so fitting, with two Norse meanings: "True" and "Brave Victory"."

"I've given Trig's mom and dad peace and joy as they wait to meet their new son. I gave them a happy anticipation because they asked me for that.I'll give all of you the same happy anticipation and strength to deal with Trig's challenges, but I won't impose on you... I just need to know you want to receive my offer to be with all of you and help you everyday to make Trig's life a great one."

"This new person in your life can help everyone put things in perspective and bind us together and get everyone focused on what really matters. The baby will expand your world and let you see and feel things you haven't experienced yet. He'll show you what "true, brave victory" really means."

*~*~*

She did not quit on her baby, which 90% of her peers choose to do away with. She did not quit on her family, and above all, she did not quit on her GOD. She did not quit her faith for the sake of convenience or self-preservation, but prepared her heart for sacrifice and the unknown.

GOD does not reward quitters.

Agreed that Hillary would certainly have been a better alternative, but in the grand scheme of things, I am happy with how things turned out. Palin’s dramatic debut into society was quite exciting and fun to witness. Still is.

She would not have had the impact she’s been able to have had Hillary won the Dem nomination.

Wow! This is turning into quite the PDS thread. I've counted at least six of the regular Palin bashers that have come aboard for their ‘dump on Sarah’ festivities. However, in the end they are like gnats...annoying but harmless.

No one is stupid enough to think that Palin resigned because she can’t handle pressure, especially from her position as a popular sitting Governor.

Yes. I think that's the retarded idea some folks would have us believe.

Anyway, it was Andrew Jackson in 1825, who quit his position as senator, and then three years later in 1828, he was elected president.

No one would dare say that Old Hickory couldn't handle the pressure.

Yep she quit the Governors job. And thank God she did. Alaska is better off, her family is better off, and the USA is better off. She had a powerful impact on the election, and the national dialog. She helped get a number of conservative and tea party candidates elected. No way she could have done as much had she stayed as Governor of Alaska.

Right you are. But it won't matter to a few of the critiques.

All that matters to them is the checking off that box on the resume, even if it means the person, the state and the country would be worse off.

I see people like that at work. They are meaningless box checkers. They don't see the overarching picture. What they see are boxes in search of that resume padding check-er-ino.

LOL!

I quit being manipulated by the media!

I quit being told what to think by communist professors!

I quit allowing government to run my life!

I quit getting my information from Government News Agencies.

I quite Chris Matthew!

There... I’m a “QUITTER” too!

Without Palin, we would not have the Tea Party movement...

I think it would be more correct if you said without Obama we would not have the Tea Party movement

Rick Santelli started the Tea Party movement. Palin fans don’t seem to understand that the Tea Party has no leader. That is a good thing, otherwise it would be over in one losing election.

What assertion? You stated that I make up statistics....show me where I did that.

It's ok, you don't have to. We both know you can't.

PNSN had loss, also. I'm fighting in their names to keep our country safe with a PROVEN FIGHTER for Our Country/Constitution elected as they had/have children. I/they don't need propaganda to muddy the waters.
