A few days ago, the Blaze reported on the low-key plans of the Obama administration to increase the penalties for certain gun law violations, and add steps to the background checks for legal gun ownership.
Today the administration’s plans are beginning to come into effect. Through an Executive Order, the Obama administration is implementing new restrictions on the sale of certain weapons in border states, and increasing the penalties for violating certain firearms laws.

Sounds as if Congress has a pretty steep hill to shut off an EO.
Then again, when someone pushes this to the Supremes, they DO HAVE authority to stop an EO. “The Supreme Court can also declare an executive order to be unconstitutional”. Does anyone doubt this EO will be contested in the Courts?
Just like nobama’s warning about stopping SS, this EO is very likely either a diversion or a negotiating ploy.
The left understands that they can only push their communist agenda so far before they are going to have to make sure the “subject class” is disarmed.
So far, they’ve made a lot of incremental gains without using anything but implied force, and without meeting any resistance.
They must be thinking they’ve done all they can, and now it’s time for the “finale”.
I am a terrible shot, but when I use my garand. I hit the target everytime. I will take my garand to hell and back.
I want Palin, Cain, Perry or Bachmann, but whomever the Republicans nominate, if any FReeper then sits home because the nominee is “not Conservative enough,” then they are a traitor to Conservatism and America itself.

On that note, Obama has not mentioned or been asked about one of his most outrageous campaign promises. What is the status of his Civilian Defense Force (CDF)?
