The state of Texas executed Humberto Leal for the 1994 brutal rape and murder of a 16-year-old Texas girl. The fact that Leal was living in this country illegally since 1975 was irrelevant. Dismissing pressure from the United Nations, foreign and American diplomats, former President George W. Bush, Barack Obama, the Department of State, Mexico, and the International Court of Justice, Texas executed its laws and Leal. The Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, refused to exercise his discretion to grant Humberto Leal a 30-day delay of execution, which was congruent with the rejection by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles of Leal's request for a reprieve. Rick Perry and the Texas Board of Pardons stood on solid legal ground, the Supreme Court agreed with the State of Texas, and Humberto Leal left Texas for good on July 7, 2011, at precisely 6:21 pm.

It worked out perfectly!
“Carlos Manuel Robles, you have been tried by twelve true and good men, not of your peers, but as high above you as heaven is of hell; and they said your guilty.” “Time will pass and seasons will come and go; Spring with its wavin’ green grass and heaps of sweet-smellin flowers on every hill and dale. Then will come sultry Summer, with her shimmerin’ heat-waves on the baked horizon; and Fall with her yellow harvest-moon and the hills growin’ brown and golden under a sinkin’ Sun; and finally Winter, with its bitin’, whinin’ wind, and all the land will be mantled with snow. But you won’t be here to, see any of ‘em, Carlos Manuel Robles; not by a damn sight, because it’s the order of this court that you be took to the nearest tree and hanged by the neck. The sheriff will ride off leaving you to dangle by the neck until you are dead, dead, dead you no good son-of-a-bitch!” - Signed: Judge Roy Bean- From “Vinegarroon”, by Ruel McDaniel.
Way to go Texas!
He wasn’t treated as a “Genuine Citizen”.
He treated as a rapist and murderer.
Justice was done for those crimes alone.
Ship his remains back to Mexico.
It pissed me off to have breathe air from the same atmosphere as him.....he got off easy, they should have shoved a hot poker lined with screws up his a$$ just before they juiced him
It certainly is. The 14th Amendment says so. "Equal protection under the law" has its price when you break said laws.
Texas Treats Illegal Alien as a Genuine Citizen of the United States and Executes Him for Murder
No they treated him as the murderer that he was proved to be. He was subject to the laws of the state of TX regardless of his immigration status or citizenship. Just as an American would be subject to the laws of Mexico while in Mexico.
Just because one is an illegal alien doesn’t give them immunity. The left has been trying to make hay about this which is stupid. Sometimes I don’t know what world they live in their viewpoint is so skewed from reality.
Rick Perry handed Leal a lethal dose of Texas justice. It was a good day for sovereignty and the rule of law. Thanks Rick!
Now this is the sort of “amnesty” I can believe in!
Agree.... After I heard what this animal did to that teenage girl, there’s no better place (in this world) than a pine box.
Why have you excerpted your own material?
DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS
“Texas Treats Illegal Alien as a Genuine Citizen of the United States and Executes Him for Murder”
Title is rather disingenuous.
He wasn’t treated like a citien, he was treated like the raping torturing criminal scum he was.
Ping!
Works for me. And I wouldn’t be offended if a US citizen in a foreign country that raped and murdered a young girl is executed. After a fair trial of course.
He wants the hits on his blog. Isn’t there a name for that?
He wasnt treated like a citien, he was treated like the raping torturing criminal scum he was.
Well said.
