Could President Obama Invoke Amendment Number 14?

What President Barack Hussein Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney, by how he is talking, it sure sounds like the Obama White House and the Democrats are getting desperate. It is a sure sign that the Democrats with President Obama are on “the ropes”. The is should come as no surprise because it is a sign that the American people are starting to scream out to the White House, Senate, and House that ENOUGH is ENOUGH. What start with many tea party movement protests going back to early 2009, has come to this late week and the efforts to resolve the federal budget debt stalemate in Washington D.C. and the need to make the needed cuts.

Could President Obama end up invoking the USA Constitution’s 14th Amendment in regards to resolving the federal USA budget debt?

The out-of-control federal budget debt and the out-of-control federal regulations could very much be a BIG FACTOR in the upcoming 2012 USA Presidential elections.

From White House Press Secretary Jay Carney himself:

“We are also realistic. That grand bargain if you will is still on the table. The one that the Speaker of the House walked away from. And while often Republicans don’t like to admit it, they came very close to an agreement. And that agreement is still available. now, if we are not able to achieve that in the next several days, we still need — we have no other alternative, we have to take action to ensure that we do not default. And we have to take action to reduce our deficit.”

Wondering how much slop is in the budget and revenues. I am betting that if push came to shove that they’d find the money and then some.

Then again, they don’t feel like they have an obligation to follow the budget so the attitude is why bother.

It doesn’t matter what context it is applied in.

The concept of “validity” of the debt has absolutely nothing to do with this crisis. NO one is claiming that the outstanding debt is not “valid.”

It is still a valid debt obligation of the United States even if Barky absconds with the money for the interest payment and flees to Kenya with it. Whether or not the government decides to pay interest or principal on the oustanding debt, it is STILL legally valid debt.

The argument is a giant red herring.

Will we be surprised when and if he does?

We have talked about his possible dictatorial moves for 3 years now.

Tanks and troops in the streets will not surprise me.

What might suprise The Elites in D.C. is eventually which direction the turrets face, if the United States Constitution is shredded People are pissed on that kind of way.

Constitutional or not, he’ll not waste the opportunity to seize further control of the government. The Republican House may or may not impeach him, but if they do, the Senate will NOT convict, and we will have a de facto dictator.

It’s at least a 50/50 chance of playing out that way.

What happens next year with regard to the election is a little harder to predict.

Even the “tanks and troops” could turn against Obama since this threatens their pay.

Traficant, 1993:

“The Federal Reserve System is a sovereign power structure separate and distinct from the federal United States government. The Federal Reserve is a maritime lender, and/or maritime insurance underwriter to the federal United States operating exclusively under Admiralty/Maritime law. The lender or underwriter bears the risks, and the Maritime law compelling specific performance in paying the interest, or premiums are the same.

Assets of the debtor can also be hypothecated (to pledge something as a security without taking possession of it.) as security by the lender or underwriter. The Federal Reserve Act stipulated that the interest on the debt was to be paid in gold. There was no stipulation in the Federal Reserve Act for ever paying the principle.

Prior to 1913, most Americans owned clear, allodial title to property, free and clear of any liens or mortgages until the Federal Reserve Act (1913)

“Hypothecated” all property within the federal United States to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, -in which the Trustees (stockholders) held legal title. The U.S. citizen (tenant, franchisee) was registered as a “beneficiary” of the trust via his/her birth certificate. In 1933, the federal United States hypothecated all of the present and future properties, assets and labor of their “subjects,” the 14th Amendment U.S. citizen, to the Federal Reserve System.”

Again. The Fed. The IMF. (New leadership there.) What exactly was agreed to in 2009 at the G-20 in re finances (with 0bama and that knowing look of his)? Or at the Next 100 years Progressive festival last summer on some island off S. Carolina? Or, in the Dodd-Frank bill?

There have been no controls put in place to eliminate the dangers of a meltdown, but even Soros’ Quantum Fund wants to hide where his money comes from now.

You say we’d see a new American Revolution. I would hope so, under those conditions, but we’ve already let the constitution be trampled and shredded so badly and we haven’t risen up yet, so I don’t hold much hope that this would do it. People still think they have too much to lose to risk everything like our forefathers did. Sad, I know, but I think it’s true. Most of them don’t even realize what’s happening or the issues involved. They’re too busy listening to their iPods and watching Dancing With The Stars.

The 14th Amendment requires that debts be honored...it does not require, or give power to the President, to ignore the will of Congress in taking on NEW debt.

In fact it's specifically says who is responsible for enforcing provisions of the 14 Amendment.

Section 5. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

Even if it did apply to something else it also specifies what body is empowered to enforce the provisions.

Section 5. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
