Getting Jealous of the Russians...
Reaganite Republican ^ | July 29, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

These people are running circles around us!

As if the taunting with their own American-style cheerleaders wasn't enough, flooding the 'net in a blatant psy-ops

effort designed to undermine US morale lol... typical KGB, who brought the world the "honey trap" espionage technique  (reportedly still in use by today's FSB).

Next, the Russian Navy schools strategically clueless  Team Obama on how to deal with pirates--

THEN Putin has agents bomb a US embassy while he slaps Obama and Shrillary around like a couple of rag dolls...

All I know is it sure must be nice to have a leader that knows what country he works for... just sayin'

But(t) this takes the (cheese)cake: Alas, even an ole
Russia-hatin' Reaganite like me must admit it's inspiring... meet 'Putin's Army', a bevy of babes willing to put-it-all-out-there for iron-fisted kleptocracy...

Amen!
for all Bush’s faults, he loved America. Obama hates it.

we need a leader who loves America, as Harper loves Canada,
Bibi loves Israel, and Putin loves Russia.

Good grief!

We need a freaking hawk like Bachmann to come in and set things straight... just sayin

Or maybe Perry/Bachmann- he’d be glad to put Putin back on his heels

And what a shame Bolton isn’t running, would have welcomed his voice to the debate.

Like Reagan said, “the Russians aren’t ten-feet tall”

Some of those Ruskie models with the long legs just look like they are, that’s all lol

In fact I see no idea why is it necessary to put them on a heels.
There are no natural reasons to be in conflict with Russia. All the tensions between two nations are fabricated by either side.

Zero sum game with them brings no benefits to America.

It is proven in Central Asia there working against a Russian influence has only split the region between Al-Qaeda and China who managed to fill the vacuum.

Add Kosovo to list etc.

impressive. but from your link:

“Tank T-90C is an armored fortress that weighs 46 tons and is equipped with non-traditional means of dynamic protection and cannon/missile armament. It moves 32 km an hour but can accelerate to 50 km an hour. The American Abrams will be left far behind.”
///
seems to me, they have their math wrong. The Abrams is much heavier, yet faster, not slower.
(in fact, can do faster in MPH than the T90 in KM/H)

those charts are incredible !!!
Russia recovers from socialism. USA goes into it. clear.

http://www.heritage.org/Research/Commentary/2003/03/Russias-Flat-Tax-Miracle

Yet in Russia, President Vladimir Putin — the former head of the Soviet KGB — implemented a flat tax in 2001. Not only a flat tax, but a flat tax with a 13 percent rate, four percentage points lower than the supposedly “radical” plan espoused by Steve Forbes and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey. And it’s been a big success.

(same thing as the Celtic Tiger miracle in Ireland.
and until a few years ago, Ireland had ZERO national debt.
they are bankrupt now, because their banks purchased toxic debt from AIG and Goldman-Sachs, THEN passed a law that made the Irish PEOPLE on the hook for the banks.
- similar to our bailouts -
then the banks collapsed. instant poverty for the Irish.)

not just the models! i’ve seen ordinary shopworkers in Russia, as pretty as these.
(although most American men would probably think they were too skinny.)

just looking at the photos here, i’ve seen ordinary clerical workers with children, who are as pretty as any hollywood actress.

you make some good points. and with the resurgence of Christianity in Russia, and their movement towards capitalism, we have much in common.
and could be good allies against Islam, which i think is by FAR the greatest danger in the world.
however, to be fair, your statement:
“All the tensions between two nations are fabricated by either side.” is not true.
maybe some is left over from the cold war, and benefits no one. however, Russian actions in Georgia, and stopping our anti-missile system from being put in Poland, were hardly “fabricated”.
(and the anti-missile system was insignificant against Russia. it was to protect against Iran. Russia should have applauded this, not stopped it.)
and Russia selling high-tech defense systems to Syria and Iran, and helping build Iran’s reactor, doesn’t help make the world better, or even more stable.
but i do think our interests will coincide more in the future, and hopefully, we will become true friends.

(you are very correct, that China, Al-Queda, and Islam in general, benefit from conflict between the USA and Russia.)

You make good points as well, but to be honest if Iran wants to nuke mainland US they won’t use an ICBM for many reasons. The bomb is to come in a cargo container.
Thus missile defence technology is incapable to counter Russian and Chinese arsenals, these are nations it is de-facto aimed at as soon as a technology improved.
And it looks ugly for Russian voters. For Russians who lost 30 million lives in WWII MAD doctrine is believed to be a key factor of why there wasn’t any new large scale conflict since 40s. If you want to look at Russian perspective imagine them building radar in Canada and missile base in Cuba and at the same time claiming it is to counter Panama. I bet every sane person would demand government to do something about it.
As for Georgian problem it has a lot of sides as well.
Russians may always say about double standards. In fact that Saakashvili did to his Osetian and Abkhazian minorities as same Saddam did to Iraqi Kurds. It is hard to explain to a Russian public why is it worth to bomb when pro-Russian Saddam and no-no to bomb pro-American dictator today for doing the same Saddam did.

That is the way they are thinking and there are might be numerous other viewpoints you and me and someone else finds as more appropriate but the reality is neither missile defence nor Georgia worth to make a steps empowering Al-Qaeda and China.
Not to mention it makes Russian childish but pretty effective zero sum steps to destabilize Central America and Middle East in return.
