Residents and the legislative leadership in South Carolina without a doubt dont want anything to do with Big Labors oppressive tactics. Workers in South Carolinas new Boeing plant recently booted out union bosses and legislators created a business climate to land the production of the big 787 Dreamliner for years to come.
However, according to the Daily Caller, local representatives from the International Association of Machinists (IAM) wont leave the Palmetto State. Anthony Riedel of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation told The Daily Caller in an interview that workers have been told that if they unionize, IAM leadership will get the NLRB to drop the controversial complaint against Boeing.
Big Red Flag!
Two legal issues may come to the forefront in light of Big Labors latest tactic.
1. Extortion - in order for an extortion offense to qualify under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, AIM must obtain something of value from Boeing employees with his or her consent induced by wrongful use of force, fear or threats.
AIM is clearly obtaining something of value - costly union dues - by use of force, fear, and threats - if they unionize, IAM leadership will get the NLRB to drop the controversial complaint...

If the Russians can run a thugocracy, why can't Obama?
In any event, if the NLRB rules against Boeing, there will be repercussions.
I read somewhere that all Boeing had to do is run out the clock. The two members of the NLRB that Obama recess appointed Becker and Pearce, are forced out on December 31, 2011, when the recess appointment expires. The senate is not going to confirm either one to a full term (democrats couldn’t even get them confirmed when they controlled 60 seats). This will leave the NLRB with only two members, the Supreme Court ruled in 2009 that NLRB can not render decisions or issue rulings with only two members. So they are effectively dead come January 1st.
“Who the hell is AIM? Did the writer mean IAM and screw up twice? Actually three times because he didn’t proof read the article.”
Four. He published without proofreading.
Five if he considers himself a professional writer.

WOW thanks much for this very enlightening info! Nice news, nice news indeeed!
Let me guess...International Association of Machinists (IAM)... from the article.
bttt
Give ‘EM HELL South Carolina!!!!
Yeah? So what.
You believe Boeing can do anything about legally?
Just try finding a judge in this nation who hasn’t already been threatened or bribed into compliance with the Obama administration.
It is nice news. I sincerely hope Boeing gets justice.
They don't have to.
What will happen if they tell the NLRB to go pound sand? Will Obama send in the National Guard to shut down the plant?
Besides, there are plenty of judges who haven't been threatened and bribed by The One and his minions. They take things on a case by case basis. Much more efficient.
If Boeing doesn't prevail over the NLRB, they should build the plant in China.
Oooohhh....that'll leave a mark.
Dude, that’s some info you got there..
