Im not taking a position, but I would be very pleased to see him win the Republican nomination, Carter said on an interview on MSNBC set to air Thursday night. Carter also said he appreciated that Rep. Bachmann (R-Minn.) worked on Carters presidential campaign in 1976. Bachmann has mentioned how she was a Democrat during college but switched parties after because she disagreed with certain foreign and domestic policies of the left.
I know, and I appreciate that she helped me out!, Carter said.
Carter expressed confidence that Obama would be reelected.
Back in May, he also had high praise for ta da Jon Huntsman, whom he said is "very attractive to me personally. ...
