Teacher calls San Antonio Tea Party Leader a Nazi at DREAM Act Panel Discussion
Red States ^ | September 21, 2011 | WRITTEN BY TONY KATZ

A panel conversation on the DREAM Act turned nasty when a public school teacher told the panel that they want him to act like an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Agent, and round up students who are in the country illegally. The teacher followed up by calling one of the panelists, a Hispanic Tea Party leader, a “Nazi.”

Jonathan Bryant, a government teacher at a local high school in the area, took the microphone and quickly made sure to recognize the kids in attendance, to which he received boisterous applause. Bryant then responded to a comment made by one of the panelists, Schuylar Crist – a supporter of the Minuteman movement and a coordinator for US Border Watch. Bryant said that it seemed that Crist wanted him, as a teacher, to act like an ICE Agent, and report students who are in the country illegally. When Crist was able to respond, he said,

“The fact of the matter is, if they’re in that classroom illegally, then the school administration has a responsibility of reporting them…under 287-G, the San Antonio police department…has that obligation.”

Bryant quickly retorted, “So you would have students in this room deported?” Crist shot back, “If they were illegal, you bet I would…in a heartbeat.” Crist was roundly booed by the students in the room. The moderator, KSTX reporter Hernan Rozemberg, quieted the crowd, and allowed a response from San Antonio Tea Party Leader George Rodriguez. Rodriguez said,

Again folks, if the person is here illegally, and is breaking the law, they have broken the law or are breaking the law, what do you want us to say? You know what I would have…I would have you teach more balanced, conservative thoughts, rather than just bringing folks that bring libreal ideals and placards here.

Without any hesitation, Bryant responded:

I mean you could just say what you are, a Nazi.

The video is a real bute.

I found another copy of it elsewhere that was longer and gave it more in context.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

Like P. J. O’Rourke once said, nobody’s ever fantasized about being tied up and sexually ravished by somebody dressed as a liberal.

The frightening part is this guy is a “government” teacher in a public school.

This Socialist idiot should be reminded that the Nazi Party was the “National Socialist Party”.

The left never admits that the Nazi’s were Lefties not Righties.

Teachers are more goonionists than educators these days. God only knows what they must be teaching the kids. If I had school age children I would do whatever would be necessary to keep them out of public schools.

A smug little punk, hamming it up for his brainwashed cheering section. He’s not their teacher, they’re his little worshipers. This is child abuse by a child. The parents of his students should worry about what else he might be doing to them...

No, I daresay, they were so right they were left. Being "right" is nothing to boast about. Being conservative is.

RedState would defend Perry if he mandated that all stray animals be used as school food.

I have faced these types opf accusations before. it is a typical liberal/marxist game plan. They try and lable the opposition with the very tactics that they employ.

How about,

"No, Mr. Bryant, it is you who are actually employing Nazi-like tactics in progagandizing your own efforts to undermine and destroy the education of our children in this country. Clearly, you have a dislike for the laws of our nation, you want, like our current President, to fundamentally change this nation and are hell bent to ignore our laws in the process. And now you want to teach our children to do the same, just as Hitler did to the youth in Germany. Well, Mr. Bryant...NOT ON OUR WATCH! Observe in 2012 what happens when the American people wake up to and react soundly to your efforts. Thank you for the opportunity to respond."
That's how I would respond to a Mr. Bryant. The kids may go along with him in that meeting...but many of them will hear and use the internet to check it out for themselves.

Public School Teachers

My family doctor lives in a town where the Public Schools are pretty good, but all of his children are Home Schooled. He has told me that ALL Public Schools are bad. My youngest is 36, but if I had school age children, I think I would home school them or put them in private schools.

My grandson is in a private pre-kindergarden. My son-in-law and daughter just moved to Fairfax, VA, he was transferred to DC. They have my grandson in a private church school.

Teachers are among the worst debaters ever. They always go for the audience-pleasing shot when they’re always claiming they prefer sticking to the point, no personal attacks. They’re highly emotional folks. I know, I’ve worked in schools and with school-age kids, and some of the dumbest, most irrational people I’ve met are teachers. I don’t say that to bash, I’ve just been repeatedly stunned by this. For example, a teacher in her fifties had never heard the argument that abortion is wrong because people like me know a fetus is a human being.

A woman, in her fifties, in America, who claimes she’s never heard that before.

That’s what I think about when I see someone like this person resort to name-calling in a debate. I respect teachers the way I respect everyone else—individually—but I grew up thinking teachers were all incredibly smart and just knew more than the rest of us. Experience has blown that fantasy out of the water.

It’s all in the grand scheme of Obama’s War On Freedom.

“Obama’s War On Freedom”

Has he declared the war? It is obvious he wants to destroy all freedom and make us all surfs on the plantation.

He can “declare” the War and We the People will end it.

FUBO!

I recognize the type now. There was always a character like that when we were teens. The guy who only hung around with kids several years younger than himself because nobody his own age could stand him. And the creepy college-age characters who only wanted to hang out with us high-schoolers...

Jonathan Bryant, a government teacher at a local high school in the area . . . .

Aren't they ALL government teachers??

The fact remains that they don't belong here and we shouldn't be educating them at OUR expense!!
