TV Girls I Had a Crush On When I Was 15: 'Mary Ann Summers' on Gilligan's Island~
Reaganite Republican ^ | October 7, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 10/07/2011 5:57:41 AM PDT by Reaganite Republican

Oh how I yearned to be stranded with her...

Former 'Miss Nevada' Dawn Wells as

'Mary Ann Summers' - Gilligan's Island (1964-67):

Decades later, we at long-last know how they killed the time
on that (dopey) island: while going some ways towards
explaining the bizarre tree-licking episode above,
something still largely frowned upon
back in here in (what passes for) civilization...

You know ALL bout that stuff, doncha lil' buddy...

"All day... all night... Mary Ann"... Video tribute/more at Reaganite Republican _________________________________________

The Della Street character from Perry mason got her name from Dell Street in Malden, MA home of Earl Stanley Gardner.

Young enough to be a big fan of Gilligan’s Island, was to young to realize how hot Mary Ann was, thanks for the look back. Hope it comes to reruns

I Dream of Jeannie was awesome, too. I would love to see the remake and have Roger Healey find the bottle. The show would have had a totally different take.

Yes, Mary Ann was the one. She filled out those shorts about as well as it was possible to.

An interesting thing about Barbara Hale is she is the Mother of the guy who played Paul Drake’s son in the later revival of Perry Mason where Mason is now a judge.

This is a little off the topic, but the funniest Gilligan episode is when they find the left behind Japanese Soldier...

Those coke bottle bottom glasses..... Hilarious.

Ahh.. Girrigan... You-are-my-plisoner... Hhahahaha....

I think he was played by Margaret Carlson before she got into politics.

Just recently publicized that Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) was the only cast member that got the extended royalties deal (for ALL reruns shown in syndication) that most actors almost always get these days. The other cast members only got paid for the first 4 or 5 reruns shown.

She made a bundle.

So she was hot, smart and (a little later) rich!
