MC Hammer expressed his opinions about the police's treatment of the Occupy Wall Street protesters in Oakland, California and he feels that kind of abuse "can never be tolerated." The Oakland native took to Twitter to criticize the force's use of tear gas and other weapons to disperse the crowd of about 1,000 near Frank Ogala Plaza at City Hall last week. More than 100 people were arrested during the clashes.
The unabated abuse of the PEOPLE can never be tolerated!, MC Hammer wrote. They were expressing systemic frustration and pain, peacefully. You knew this would happen. You cannot eliminate the middle class and expect quiet resolution.
The Oakland protesters had been gathering at the plaza for nearly two weeks to support Occupy Wall Street protesters who've been crying against corporate greed in New York City and inciting spin-off protests through out the country.
The unification of the poor, the underserved and the middle class has begun, Hammer tweeted. The forgone conclusion is at hand.
Oh, just shut up and go back to your rap.
LOLOLOL.
It’s Slammer Time.
Hammer hasnt done anything since he blew all of his money back in the 90s.
“eliminate the middle class”
Huh?
I’m surprised. I noted a helpful trend in his old lyrics.
Imagine...convicted criminal Stanley Burrell bitches and moans about the PO-lice.
Tupac also put a reference to this in his latest release.
So he told the police, “CAN’T TOUCH THIS” ?
Hammer is a tool. Who knew?
Yeah, he’s relevant lol
What’s he doing these days, driving a bus or something lol
It Hammer time! lol!
Pretty funny that all the *has beens and never were* are crawling out of the woodwork for a little face time.
Has Tone Loc weighed in yet?
The protesters said, “You can’t touch this” and the police disagreed.
I refuse to pass judgment on the situation before Sir Mix-a-Lot is heard from.
