Freepers eat thier own
Self

Posted on 11/11/2011 8:03:06 AM PST by pwatson

Ok, I have to rant. There are some Freepers who seem to really, really hate certain candidates. A majority of their post are saying sometimes nasty and mean things about that candidate. This is so typical of what’s wrong with Republicans and Conservatives in general. We will eat our own candidates and pull defeat from the jaws of victory. I see the same thing in Religion, which explains why there are dozens of Christian churches within miles of my house each claiming to be the "correct" way to God. I am in Texas. I like Perry but he has made some bad decisions, border, Gardasil, trans-corridor. Still he is generally a good guy and governor. In the debates he proved he is an Aggie. Gingrich, he was great in 1994 with the contract with America, but let the glee of his victory get the best of him and over reached his mandate and lost to the Democrats. Sill he is a smart guy and has good ideas. Cain, I like a lot, good personality, executive skills, but not perfect. Bachmann, great ideas but jumped the gun to many times and eventually showed she needed to what she says a little better. Santorum, great guy and ideas but just lacks charisma and can’t make the sale enough to gain traction. Paul is our Texas crazy Uncle, love him and his ideas on money but does not know how to be a little less anti Israel and not so open borders on foreign affairs. Yes he is right we spend way too much as the military for the world, but come on Islamic nuts with Nukes not a good idea. Romney, a smart guy, typical East Coast liberal Country Club Republican, not a Conservative or Libertarian by any measures. He is more of a wonk than a leader and not my choice. Huntsman, wow that guy sure looks like my Gay uncle Harley, his ideas seem, well not Republican, Conservative or Libertarian. So back to my point. All of these Candidates have flaws and some good points the top appears to be firming up to be Cain and Newt vs. Romney.

Here’s a clue. You can’t be for every candidate in a primary. It defeats the whole purpose of primaries. As for Romney and Ron Paul, God save us from ever having either one of those idiots as our nominee. Sometimes a little profanity is useful in getting a person’s ideas across, sometimes the sheer stupidity of the person you are talking to over whelms you and you use a little profanity to get your point across about how stupid they are. If you can’t handle the debate, don’t join in. The fact is, however, you are going to have to pick one of the candidates and stick with them. However, if you pick Romney I wouldn’t bandy it about on FR.

The GOP will not beat Obama with any of those three.

Then please tell us, oh great seer, just who would you pick to run out of the available candidates?

I'll consult with my client. But I assure you we have Gloria by the short hairs. Her head will explode when the 'I'd Hit It' mantra arrives.

The farce is strong with us

“We can take my car.”

Is it an “all-electric” Chevy Volt with a gasoline motor?

“A lot of us Freepers demonstrate a complete disconnect with reality. Ask us who’s more conservative than we are, we’ll say, no one. So far, so good, we are basically correct.” We do seem to eat our own a lot. I think a lot of core Conservatives simply do not understand the world of Politics. Its the same fight over open carry vs. conceal carry. Sure I think we should be able to open carry, however I was darn glad to get my conceal carry license. This fight for freedom has been never ending, its the age old good vs bad. God vs Lucifer. We did not just lose the country, it started with the Whiskey Rebellion, the Civil War, the Great Society and many other little skirmishes. So fear not, I do not think things are that bad. In fact as Rush says the more the Liberals fight openly back it shows we are in the Flak over the target and they are in a death struggle. I am an optimist, I think good always wins over evil. I see more people waking up, just look at the Tea Party movement.

We are in general agreement, Mr. Watson.

I’m an optimist too. I think I can not only survive but thrive during the coming depression.

Of course, some say an optimist is a man who doesn’t have all the facts yet.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer to eat my FReepers with Chianti. :-)

Spicy barbecue sauce. But some of them have to be roasted over apple wood chips or they have a "gammy" taste.

Excellent point. I guess they would go down smoother. One should enjoy the experience. LOL!

You're 100& correct.

I originally wanted to like Per ... 'that candidate' but the vitriol from said female Freeper made it next to impossible. Especially after he goofed up in his 1st debate and her defense was mean, nasty and psychotic if you mentioned it. And 'that candidate's' other failings he needed to clarify (like supporting uber Liberal Rudy in 08).

'She' also got the Zot about a month ago.
