Here's a message for Gingrich supporters in Iowa--take a good look at Newt before you vote!
Coach is Right ^ | 11/18/2011 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Besides his stunning leap in yesterday’s Rasmussen Iowa poll, Newt Gingrich is surging in a few national polls and sagging badly in at least one Iowa poll. What the final numbers will show in Iowa remains to be seen.

Nevertheless, aside from his “paper serving” episode with one of his ex wives there are a few additional very important items in Gingrich’s past – some not very far back – that demand a closer look.

Gingrich has been tagged by Willard Romney as the inspiration for Romneycare and eventually Obamacare’s requirement for a individual health care mandate which would require all of us to march lockstep into the clutches of a gray faceless socialist health care system.

In his 2008 book “Real Change” Gingrich wrote “Finally, we should insist that everyone above a certain level buy [health-care] coverage [or, if they are opposed to insurance, post a bond].” Post a bond? Really Mr. Gingrich and just who would hold the bond money – the federal government?

Gingrich supports a “partial amnesty.” He would accept a “partial amnesty for illegal aliens” to help them game our system. He seems to rely on the liberal’s favorite way to justify destroying our legal system – the old tried and true sob story citing the “plight” of a 19 year old illegal brought here at 3 years old.

By his logic there are very few laws that could not be repealed. Mr. Gingrich a “partial amnesty” is like being “partially pregnant” or “partially dead” it just doesn’t exist.

Despite his kind of, sort of, opposition to TARP BEFORE he supported it, he warned us that it was a recipe for, “..crony capitalism and the appearance of — if not the actual existence of — corruption.” Why support it then Mr. Gingrich?

Romney busts so many moves

I wouldn't trust him to be an ice cream man.
Support FR, defeat the rinos.

The fact that he’s another career politician is enough for me to turn my back on him. The fact that he’s a liberally greased weathervane will keep my back turned on him.

Newt is a non starter for this conservative family. He is nothing but a beltway insider who loves to work with the liberals.

Thank you.

It's either Obama or the RINO?

Some alternative.

Gingrich is used to behaving like he's "partially married", so I'm not surprised. Ping for later.

Good question. And here’s another one coachie: do you really think we are so stupid as to not know Newt? Newt is one of 3 candidates I could support with some level of happiness - and I’ll vote for whoever opposes Obama even if unhappily.

But it’s not because I don’t know Newt. It’s because I do know - all about the bad Newt BUT ALSO ABOUT THE GOOD NEWT. Mixed bag? Absolutely. But in any mixed bag, there is both good and bad.

And again, I find it offensive that any know it all thinks people who might be giving Newt a second look are doing it without knowing all about the bad stuff. Get over yourself COACH.

Aside from your distortion of his 1st divorce, WHICH HIS WIFE SOUGHT, your Newt bashing isn’t helping anyone but Mitt and Obama.

He’s written a fair number of pieces that have been supportive of Cain. I don’t know if he’s officially endorsed anyone yet.

Let’s have a serious discussion, I don’t have any answers but I do have a few questions. What should be done with people that have no insurance, no money and use emergency rooms for medical care? Just asking.

My tea party sentiments about the perpetual politicians were more than just gum flapping. I actually mean it and will vote accordingly. If the GOP chooses to hand the race to Obama, there’s nothing I can do about it but listen to my conscience.

"perpetual politicians"

I would simply point out that Newt has not sought or held elective office for well over ten years.

I love Newt for what he says...
But ol’ Newt will be exactly like Barry Half-White..
He will say one thing and do another thing completely than what he said..

Same is true of Perry, Cain, and Romney... they are ringers..
You know like...... George Bush was/is..

Tell the rubes anything and do what you wanted to do anyway..
Been going on for decades..

The ONLY real conservative is Michele Bachmann..
The others are ringers(shills).. YES even Hermie Cain...

**Note; Cain was VP at the federal reserve.. the most inside of the inside groups.. How did that happen?... <- exactly..
