I was at my buddy's local restaurant this morning for breakfast. I was "casually concealed" in which I was using a serpa II OWB holster, but my sweater covers most of it, and when I have my jacket on it completely covers it. During the course of my meal I was getting warm, so I took my jacket off, and I caught the glance of some lady and her friend. They clearly saw my gun and acted as if they wanted to flee in horror. As I finished eating and paid for my meal, one of the women got up and went outside and was looking around. Hindsight, I think she was looking for a "no guns allowed" sign. (there is none)
They were still there when I left. I got a call from my friend about 15 minutes later. He said after I left, one of the women asked for a manager. My friend walked out and the woman handed him one of those misleading WAVE cards full of lies and misinformation, and went off about how dangerous guns are, and there are families/children in there, and on and on. She also talked about how "that guy at the counter" had a gun she could clearly see and she was "about to call the cops but then he left".
He told her that he is well aware of the fact that his restaurant is MORE safe by allowing law-abiding citizens to carry in his restaurant. And if she doesn't like it, then she can go somewhere else. He told her "it'll be a cold day in hell before I put one of those "target us, we're defenseless" signs on his door. She huffed and puffed some more then left.
EDIT: Pardon me that title should have said "saw a WAVE anti card person today"
Need Bumper Sticker:
I’m Anti-Violence too...
That’s why I carry.
An armed society is a polite society.
WAVE is a group of people not unlike the anti-deer hunting people ... until they run into one and total their car. Will see the same attitude until they fall victim to some criminal who can’t or won’t read and obey their no-guns signs! But that is assuming that they survive to change their minds.
bump
BUMP
If that's not a bumper sticker already, it's needs to become one!
If WAVE-girl is ever car jacked she can just give the perp a WAVE card and she’ll be ever so safe! (Snicker!)
I should point out to WI gun supporters that this seems to be a semi-organized effort to target businesses. As such, it is like a one sided advertising propaganda campaign, and the trouble is, such campaigns can sway people who are uncommitted, unless they are countered with good information.
This is why gun owners who support carry should also have handy a small pamphlet that states the state law, as well as gun and crime statistics. It is especially important to lay hands on one of the propaganda documents, so that you can specifically counter it.
If I could take that nutty Leftist lady back in time I would send her to Luby’s Cafeteria in 1991 in Killeen, Texas so she can see what happens when no one carries except for the criminals resulting in 22 innocent people get murdered.

Yeah. I can just see her walking up to an Amish youth brandishing an unregistered pistol with one of those cards.
**pop**
She would only be more convinced that the problem was that we had not taken all guns out of society. If only we had magically done that, then the murderer would not have had a gun to kill people with....
Of course, that is magical thinking, with the government as the magician. It is very common among people who worship the government as their god.
But, that box is only half full of rocks. This is a story about a box overflowing with rocks.
Were you in Madison? Up here in Green Bay, I don’t think you would get a second look.
It is reported that it occured in Hubertus, which is NW of Germantown, Wisconsin:

I want to know if she and her commie friends are in a restaurant when a crazy decides to hunt for humans will she get up first and wave her card?
