TalkingSides.com ^ | 12/03/11 | CaroleL

Businessman Herman Cain has officially suspended his presidential campaign citing "false and unproved allegations" and "distractions and hurt" to himself and his family. He is moving on to what he calls Plan B - pushing his solutions to the nation's problems from outside the electoral process. But before his presidential campaign fades into history, there are some lessons to be learned from how the Cain train turned into the Cain train wreck.

They won’t do that for a Republican, who they hold to higher standards.

Wait for it. The latest accuser will also soon be getting evicted or filing bankruptcy, because the Obama-Romney Team will renege on her promised pay-off, just like they did with the Chicago bimbo(s).

One thing is certain in all of this.

GINGER WHITE will NOT be getting any more Checks from Mr. Cain.

I hope she got a good price for her story from whoever paid her to come forward, because the SS CAIN gravy boat just sank.

Sorry, she gaffed more than any candidate I've ever seen.

She would be destroyed within a week if they thought she was a threat.

I do care about this, so should we all. It's the Chicago way.

A few months ago a lady friend of mine for 25 years called and told me that he son had been busted for pot and was in jail. And while she did not ask for money, I without telling my wife paid his bail.

My wife has known this woman as long as she has known me and they are friends. After, I paid the kid’s bail, I told my wife all about it.

However, if without my wife knowledge, I had been sending this woman money for an extended amount of time and was sending her text messages at 4:00 a.m. my wife would have my ass and all my belongings on the curb.

I respect your opinions, and I can understand what you are saying. However, Obama has so destroyed America, it is in shambles and so many things to be undone. We need someone who can go in, the first day and begin work. Right now Newt is that man.

One may not like everything about NEWT, but one must appreciate his knowledge in getting things done. We have no time for on the job training.

If the times were not so fractured, I would consider most any candidate, Obama has left me no choice. Newt is my candidate.

I had considered Cain in the past, and thought perhaps VP for Newt, I am sure Newt has his stradegy mapped out on the VP issue and I will trust in that.

They will come after Newt with a vengeance now.

I don't think so. They have accomplished their mission, insuring that a conservative who is dangerous to Obama will not be the Republican candidate. I think they're OK with either Newt or Mitt. Of course, during the general election, they will destroy whichever one is the candidate.

That's about it, in a nutshell.

I suspect that events over the coming months and a continuing deterioration of the economy will help voters focus on the nation's survival, rather than on their pet issues.

Lesson 216 in Business Economics:

The cost of being a Sugar Daddy increases exponentially once one becomes a major presidential candidate.

Lesson 217 in Business Economics:

The expected earned income for being a paid mistress should increase exponentially once her Sugar Daddy becomes a major presidential candidate.

Lesson 218 in Business Economics:

The media have much deeper pockets than any Sugar Daddy.

That's what I'm afraid of, he will get "things done" that Obama couldn't, like amnesty for illegal invaders. In this respect, he could be more dangerous than Obama.

I too pray your are right, in that the voters will finally focus on the survival of America. This is not a popularity or beauty contest, this is about what AMERICA NEEDS NOW, there is no time to lose, and I want the most brilliant of them all to see that America is saved from the Obama destruction.

“Lesson 1. No proof or evidence is any longer required.
All that matters is that the accusations have have been made Now that the political establishment media scumbags on both sides have decide ‘Accusation equals proof’ these same tactics of political lynching will be used against EVERY GOP candidate for Senate and House.”

MNJohnnie, since 1800 there have been presidential elections in this country involving allegations of personal impropriety against candidates in the PUBLIC domain, and somehow you think you're the first to stumble upon this fact? Bravo.

While sympathetic to Mr. Cain's beliefs and policies, the burden was always upon Mr. Cain to prove publicly, as a Public person, that he was both up to the task of running for and being President, including an ability to navigate through any and all allegations of any nature to keep his eye on the ball of his Public policies. The burden was never upon any of his proponents to “wish him” into office against all perils he would face.

He was not forced to run for the office by anyone except himself, and he was not forced by anyone, except himself, to suspend his campaign.

How do you know he’s NOT taking them to court. Just because he didn’t announce it in a speech doesn’t mean things aren’t going on behind the scenes. Lin Woods is a bulldog.

Can you send me a link to where he says he gave her money for 13 years? All I heard is that they knew each other for 13 years.

Since she refuses to release the text messages we don’t know whether he was texting her at four or she was texting him. But, plenty of busy people I know get up very early in the morning to get work done. My husband works nights. My son gets up at 4-4:30. Both have texted me at various times during the night, wee hours of the morning. I’m a night owl and rarely go to bed before 2:00. I’ve sent text messages to people pretty late in the night. However, why wouldn’t she release the text messages? They would either back her up or not.

I believe I stated that Cain “allegedly” gave money to Ms. White.

Here is an alleged video of Herman Cain allegedly saying that he allegedly gave money to Ms. White.

This is less about suing for damages, than it is about public opinion. Your last point about intent is correct: Cain only needs to prove it false.

The very mention of a courthouse would create pressure for the women to throw their cards on the table. Their refusal to do so, would of course favor Cain. I’m not so sure about the 3rd lady: 13 years is a long time.
