prayers said. ask her parents to ask the doctors about whooping cough (pertussis). RSV is much more common, but pertussis is more dangerous and sometimes undiagnosed.

My granddaughter also had RSV when she was three weeks old and spent 10 days in NICU at Cook Children's Hospital. We were allowed to sit with her round the clock and monitor everything the Drs and nurses were doing. It was terrifying but it really is a very common childhood illness that is very treatable. Two years later Lily has absolutely no ill effects from her ordeal.
My prayers are with your granddaughter and your family.

The worst danger for little ones is usually dehydration or extremely high temps. If she’s hospitalized that won’t be a problem, since the first thing they do is provide hydration via an IV, and they’ll move heaven and earth to keep fevers down. That’s a good thing.

My youngest caught RSV when he was 6 weeks old in this non smoking home. Scariest moments of my life. My prayers for Baby Ava, her parents, her Doctors, and you. I pray for a speedy recovery and a short visit at the hospital.

We just went through this with our 2 week old grandson.He just turned 3 months.They will do all kinds of tests and if everything is negative Ava should be home is a few days.We will say special prayers for her tom.(((((Hugs))))Fatima

Our granddaughter Sarah had that at 2 weeks.They kept her a week.Sarah is 6 now.Ava is in the best place.
