CA lawmakers in Iowa to boost Rick Perry; watch new “pig” attack ad blistering Santorum
Houston Chronicle ^ | January 2, 2012

With less than 48 hours until Iowans kick off the GOP caucuses, a crowd of California lawmakers have joined Steve Forbes, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and other supporters making a final push for Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

California Assemblymembers Dan Logue, Shannon Grove, Brian Jones and Curt Hagman have all hit the ground in the Hawkeye State Iowa Monday, ready for duty.

Logue, in a phone interview, just told us that “Iowa is going to do well for Perry — and this is just the first step of many steps.”

The problem, rintense, is that they will now go to the mods/the owner of this site and report you. Been there, done that. They will now also call out their flying monkeys to attack you. Personally, I believe that you give as good as you can take. You suck up the abuse and go on. This is not the case with these people.

I'm sure there is a term for turning the truth on its head. Perry supporters are strong advocates for their candidate and do not sit silent when you and your friends come to attack. All anyone has to do is read back through a few threads where you've been, to see how you "play the game."

I have found Perry supporters to be some of the politest, kindest most informed and loyal posters on FR.

I haven’t seen any video yet, but WaPo and the others are all over the story.

The ONLY way Perry gets any ink anywhere is with a flub.

Where have I heard this before? ‘Please don’t throw me into that brier patch!’

This one facet of his campaign tells you all you need to prove Perry is the LAST candidate zero wants to run against.

ZERO AND HIS PET LSM DOES NOT WANT HIM TO HAVE TO RUN AGAINST RICK PERRY.

Oh boy! here come the counter attacks already, claiming that Perry said the “bridge to nowhere” was in Az today.

Well, I'm still waiting for the howling laughter from the MSM about Fox saying that Gingrich's camp said he wasn't feeling well the other day (the tears running down his cheeks) and it was due to allergies. End of story.....

The "gaffe" meme is so old, everyone is tired at the MSM for the continued piling on.

It will be interesting to see if any of the papers can back up their claims.

Perry put Politico in its place this morning.

No one has been harder on Rick Perry and his supporters than me. The only difference is that I refuse to go to the mods/owner of this site and “report” people like 3rd graders.

Right. I’ve seen you sling it, CW, as well as your winkles. Don’t even try to claim the moral high ground here.

Looking at the photo on Drudge, I thought maybe Newt was channeling Boehner.

Perry supporters have been by far the most obnoxious.

Actually, Perry supporters have been pretty tame. I don't know who these people who call names and spit venom support but they are the most obnoxious.

Well, rintense, you shoulda got up there to Iowa and got between Perry and the people on the ground overflowing every venue to hear his plans and ideas! Are you slacking? Just running your mouth? Are you very, very worried how Perry might place tomorrow in IA?

Hope you are!

Please. Not worried about Perry at all. But I can't wait to hear all the excuses from you cultists when Perry drops out.

How ironic that all the things you've called Newt, Cain, Bachmann and yes, even Palin supporters, is the very thing you've been all along.

And not a single one of you has answered the question I've posed several times:

If Perry truly is the 'one true conservative' in the race, why isn't he in the lead? Why isn't he cleaning Romney's clock? And why is a nut job like Paul beating him?

Think you answered your own question there, flat-line.

Because THE ADMINISTRATION AND ITS PET MEDIA HAS DONE EVERYTHING TO ASSURE ZERO WON’T HAVE TO RUN AGAINST HIM!

Texas Enterprise Fund

Texas Employment Update!

"Another new measure made tightening air quality permits on the oil and gas industry more difficult. That law, which Perry signed in June, requires the Texas environmental agency to analyze the effect of new regulation on the economy - including how it might hurt a company - before implementation. The economic impact could override the environmental benefit of the new regulation. The new law reflects Perry's contention that global warming is a questionable theory and that regulation always creates an adverse business climate." Perry Slashed Environmental Enforcement in Texas

The case for Perry’s venture capitalismThere’s a big difference between the Texas and statist approaches - There has been a lot of debate about Gov. Rick Perry’s economic development funds. The criticism centers on the idea that the Texan’s funds create a “Solyndra problem” for him, that by investing in businesses that bring jobs to the state, Mr. Perry has the same job-creation approach President Obama displayed in backing federal loans to a solar-energy firm.

Equating the two men in this way provides a convenient symmetry, but it’s also a false comparison that misses why many free marketers are comfortable with Gov. Perry even while critical of Solyndra.”……

........."you can lay your fears to rest because in the last year the Texas public sector has shrunk by 26,000 jobs. In the last 12 months, Texas lost 31,300 federal employees, trimmed 3,800 state jobs, and increased local government jobs by 8,400 jobs."........... Source

Misfire: Romney Ad Targets Rick Perry's Jobs Record "I think it's safe to say the Romney campaign is going for the kill with its latest attack on Rick Perry. The former Massachusetts Governor has already gotten a fair amount of mileage out of attacking his Texan rival from the left on Social Security, and from the right on immigration, but this new spot strikes at the heart of the Perry campaign's raison detre -- jobs, jobs, jobs:

The Facts --Mitt Romney's political ad

[snip]

The spot's most striking image is a tumbleweed blowing along a deserted Texas highway. That's rich. It's intended to create the impression that Rick Perry's Texas is something of a depressed ghost town. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since the recession began, desperate job seekers have flocked to Texas at a clip of roughly 1,000 people per day. And they're finding work, too. Despite a huge population influx and a bruising national recession, Texas' unemployment rate remains below the national average. How remarkable has the Lone Star State's economic performance been? Read this Political Math analysis (written by a self-professed non Perry supporter), and marvel. One telling data point:
