Video: Virginia School Board Doubles Down – Defends Having Third-Graders Sing Occupy Indoctrination

Via CBS 19 News:

The School Board in Charlottesville is clearly out of line, and not fooling anyone with their lame explanation for how kids came to sing a class warfare song at an assembly.

Indoctrinating other people’s children with their political message is a tactic leftists use all the time. Conservatives shouldn’t stand for it, and need to continue to sound the alarm about this story.

You see, an 8 year old wrote this, and the school board couldn’t possibly consider censoring this.

All I can say is the kid better get to a university fast because not only does he or she have a remarkably mature way of expression, but the liberal intelligentsia there is obviously the place for him/her. And I’m so sorry the kid lost their plane and yacht.

Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be one of the 1 percent
I worked all the time
Never saw my family
Couldn’t make life rhyme
Then the bubble burst
It really, really hurt
I lost my money
Lost my pride
Lost my home
Now I’m part of the 99

Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes — they’re the 1 percent

I used to be sad, now I’m satisfied
’Cause I really have enough
Though I lost my yacht and plane
Didn’t need that extra stuff
Could have been much worse
You don’t need to be first
’Cause I’ve got my friends
Here by my side
Don’t need it all
I’m so happy to be part of the 99

The communists are brainwashing our kids and they’re doing it with OUR dollars. I’m pretty sure that’s “unconstitutional”. If it’s not, it should be. It’s going to cost us a fortune to deprogram them.

If the reckless behavior of the 1 percent caused the loss of 11 million jobs amongst the 99 percent, how long do you think it would be some amongst the 99 percent will sing class warfare songs????? I say let the school sing it loud and sing it with gusto. That way the Wall Street bankers will spend sleepless nights worrying about the brewing revolt of their making. If conservatives are smart, step aside and let OWS and Wall Street fight. Remember Wall Street bankers attacked the Tea Party because they always feared someone among the 99 percent will organize into a political resistance against their power in Wash DC.

It’s simply not the schools place to politicize children. Period.

That is exactly what the compulsory school system was designed to do.

Maybe I am just a believer in America as a meritocracy, but I have to believe that someone in the top 1 percent, after getting an ass whooping in the workplace would dust himself off and get back in the game. The 1 percenter that sits around in parks and smokes dope with the Marxists is a leftist invention.

Bizare reasoning. It wasn’t the 1 percent rich that caused the meltdown, it was government intervention in the housing market, otherwise known as the centrally managed economy that caused the meltdown. And why would “smart” conservatives look forward to the socialists tearing down Capitalism? I know Socialism will work here if it is done right (sarc), but in the last couple millenia when has bottom up anarchy based socialism worked? Can you name the country this worked for and led to prosperity?
P.S. Dont zot this one so quick. He seems to be fun.

Actually I am more along the lines of what the Hungarians recently did with their constitution. Outlaw Communism and hold bankers and socialist accountable for their past actions. You are right the federal gov did play a role in destroying the economy and many freepers posted it well. However if you think Wall Street and the bankers are entirely innocent you have a lot to learn. Example where in the CRA does the gov instruct bankers to do liar loans. Where in the CRA does the gov instruct bankers to take liar loans and instruct the rating agency to not review the application and rate it as AAA paper? Answer is nowhere! So who concocted this product, sell it under false pretext to unsuspecting investors and pocket the fees/commissions. Try BANKERS. And as this toxic paper get sold into every major pension and hedge fund before it all imploded and cause a GLOBAL RECESSION, guess how many Americans lost their jobs 11 MILLION.
America faces two enemies within. Deficit spending politicians whom can be voted out of office, and scheming Wall Street bankers who have inflicted damage to our economy over and over again and no political party had ever removed this damaging institution. Tea Party made up of law abiding citizens will not risk home and assets taking the fight to the bankers, but are more organized to vote out the offending politicians. Since the OWS is made up of desperate out of work, homeless types, then let us use them to take the fight to the Wall Street bankers. As long as the OWS does not train their anger at the Tea Party, leave them alone as they terrorize the bankers. Eventually we will clash with OWS, but atleast by then the gov is cleansed of big spenders and Wall Street bankers are in jail or exiled.

Wall Street’s overexuberance might have led to busts, but not a prolonged malaise like this one which can be pinned squarely on leftist policies.

I still want to retire to Virginia, but NoVa is as bad as Berzerkely here in California, and it sounds like Charlottesville is pretty high on the liberal scale itself. Sad. It was such a beautiful town and a great location.

Oh yeah I’m sure third graders understand the work day, economics, etc.... It what is on every third grader’s mind! Yeah this has nothing to do with the teacher brain washing the kids. Yeah right....

Leftist policies did prolong our bad economy by throwing money into a bad situation. But even if McCain won in 2008, Wall St will still implode from the toxic assets. Lowering taxes will not move the economy like before because our banks got into something that never happen in previous downturns. It is called derivatives. Estimates on this financial weapon of mass destruction ranges from 50 trillion to 1500 trillion. That is right, trillion. The entire world GDP is about 25 trillion.
Why do you think the Fed Reserve and US Treasury was desperate for TARP? Greek gov bonds represent a very small part of the EU that its major banks can absorb if Greece choose to default. The reason the ECB, major European banks, US Federal Reserve, US gov, and US banks got very scare is many banks brought derivatives on Greek bonds that were leveraged. The losses can be 40 to 100 times of total Greek bonds if default happened. Why do you think the EU used threats to prevent Greece from having a referendum on default? What is the EU going to do as Italy is having problems? Where is the physical paper currency going to come from to plug its impending implosion?
The world currency system is tottering. One break and it is possible for the entire world banking system to implode on the derivative leveraged sovereign bonds. Once that happens all rules and promises by banks to her customers and/or gov to her citizens are off. Right now government and the bankers figure if they don’t take the customers money to prevent the implosion, the customer will lose everything anyway thus any action is justified. That type of mentality is dangerous to all customers with accounts in banks, brokerage firms, 401k, mutual funds and etc. MF Global is the first red flag waving and many can follow. If deregulating, tax cutting GOP were in charge, they cannot stop the crisis and confiscation of customer money either. IMHO Obama will not be reelected and the next POTUS will be a one term.
The way I see it, a dictatorship is the only way out of this crisis.

I Was with you till the last bit.

I too agree that even a fiscal conservative president, be it on our side or theirs, isn’t going to fix anything. It’s too late to fix it. The numbers are incomprehensible. I just worry that with a GOP President, the blame will rest squarely on their shoulders, a single term and Hillary Clinton presidency will result.

Doesn’t matter who’s at the helm, the ship is sinking. The only winner of the day will be preppers and those who can capitalize even in the face of extreme challenges.

As far as a dictator ? No need, not with a our Constitution. Return to it, and it will shield those within US Borders.

“Don’t need it all
I’m so happy to be part of the 99’

*******************

Hey - that’s great to hear. So now this means you’ll leave me the hell alone?

My daughter (8th grade) was being indoctrinated at school a month ago on how to fairly distribute 100 pennies around the class. She was able to hold her own, but of course the kids are taught from a VERY young age that “equal” is the same as “fair”. Share your toys, give your sister half of the pie, etc. All good things when it comes to playing with another kid, or sharing something that is supposed to be shared.

My daughter made several good points, but the one I liked most was “So a doctor who has been through years and years of school and saves people’s lives should be payed the same as the high school dropout at the 7-11?”

Of course the class voted to redistribute the pennies equally. I told her if it came up again, that she should recommend that the kids with “A”’s should give some of their points to the kids with lower grades so everyone in class can have about the same grade. They moved on to the next thing though.

I wish my last prediction is wrong. But history does not support your ending because when economic chaos hits those who did not prep society will breakdown unless troops and martial law is declared. A dictator will emerge and restore order. Look at Napoleon, Caesar, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, etc, etc etc. It cannot happen to a republic like the US. Don’t be too sure.

This 99% mentality is nothing more than peasant envy in modern dress.

Two russian peasants lived side by side. Both raised sheep and goats which they sold at the market. One was up at the break of dawn, making sure his flock had water and grass to graze; he stayed with them during the day to keep them safe from wolves, and was prosperous.

The other slacked off, slept late, fed his animals scraps, drank much vodka and hardly watched over them during the day so that he was eventually left with only a few scragglies no one wanted to buy.

The Commissar came by one day and asked the prosperous peasant if he needed anything. No, he said, “I get along just fine.”

Next door he asked the poor peasant if he needed anything. Yes, he said, “I want you to kill all of my neighbor’s sheep so we will be equal.”

Charlottesville has been contaminated by the University of Virginia and all the out of state students and professors in the area. Decline started in late 60’s, was still moderate when I attended some courses in the early 80’s, is now out of control. Suggest you consider Winchester or other “Valley” cities, avoid the coast or NOVA.
