The One Simple Reason Newt Gingrich Will Not Win The General Election: Women

Posted by RealQuiet (Diary) December 7th

Newt Gingrich has conducted a brilliant campaign strategy since he stumbled back in late spring regarding Paul Ryan’s Path to Prosperity Plan. He has been masterful in debates and shown an eagerness to take on and fight the media elite. He has owned up to his personal and political mistakes and stated candidly what his positions are, though many may disagree with them but still live with them.

He hasn’t shown the brash ego and self-centeredness that reared its ugly head so many times when he was the Speaker of the House. He certainly seems to be a changed man.

BUT…..

Though Gingrich has engaged in his own political cronyism and playing both sides of the fence on political issues like Mitt Romney has in the past (which the Republican voter seems to be willing to overlook), there is one thing that will stop him from winning the general election:

A considerable majority of American women will not vote for him because of his past marital actions of betrayal

Most American women whether they be Democrat, independent, or Republican will not vote for a man who cheated on his previous wife(s). Among women, men like this cannot and will not be trusted. People like to point out that Ronald Reagan had two wives. The key thing is Ronald Reagan never cheated on Jane Wyman, his first wife. She left him because there was nothing left in common between them as she claimed. That is a very big difference.

Yes, the article is BS. Mitt WILL NOT carry the South. Simply will not happen.

Men, women, even many Dem dogs will not vote for him.

Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.

The internals of many polls establishes this has a rock hard fact. Newt loses the women’s vote in spades and this does not bode well for the general election. This was part of the topic on Bill O’Reilly tonight.

What these idiots fail to realize is it isn’t the infidelity that bothers women about Newt. As you pointed out, it didn’t bother them about Clinton.

The difference between Clinton/Obama and Newt is that both Clinton and Obama flirt with women. They charm women. They schmooze women and give women the impression that they just might get into bed with them.

Why do you think some women on FR were fawning all over Rick Perry? It wasn’t because Perry is good at the debate, it’s because of how Perry looks.

Gingrich, on the other hand, doesn’t flirt or go out of his way to make bedroom eyes at women like Clinton and Obama did, and Newt isn’t good-looking like Perry, the Marlboro Man.

Gingrich is a Grandpa who calls it like he sees it. Women want to be romanced, they want to be wooed, they want to be fawned over. Gingrich isn’t doing that, whereas Romney is, and Obama will, and that’s why women don’t like Gingrich. At their core, they are asking themselves why Gingrich isn’t trying to get in their pants.

(Now watch, a couple of FR women will jump all over me and claim “I wasn’t fawning all over Perry”... and I’ll just say what Ron Paul said in the debate to Santorum: “I didn’t mention you by name, so I think you’re being a little overly sensitive” and defensive. But watch — it will happen.)

Gee, sure would help if you'd post some factual evidence to back up your claims.

This woman would vote for Patton to win a war, not Pee Wee Herman.

If women haven’t had enough of Obama shredding our security from enemies without and within - destroying our home ownership - one of the most important things to a woman, trashing our financial security...well then they are just stupid. Obviously Obama thinks free abortion pills will make up for this.
Bastard!

The GOP candidate needs to make women realize that Obama is ruining their lives.

You are correct. Of those standing, only Santorum is electable in the general election. Besides, Gingrich is not telegenic, an asset that was vital to Reagan’s landslide.

There are also lots of sisters and mothers who have had brothers and son’s go through a divorce from a witch and understand vengenceful women can be a royal pain in the whole familys back side, and some love to use the children against the husbands family....lying women are a dime a dozen when it comes to divorce....and many times the husband is blindsided by it......(for you women who have had the opposite situation, sorry but there are nasty females out there also)

We will know how accurate those polls are in 24 hours. If women desert Newt in droves as predicted, he will lose South Carolina by a substantial margin.

All of my female friends love Newt, and I live in the South.

Same here. The women I know at my very Conservative Christian church have a universally positive view of Newt Gingrich. He's a man's man exuding strength and women prefer that to some limp-wristed metrosexual.
