Which should we fear more, a third party or an Only party?
Primordial Slack ^ | 1/29/2012 | Joan of Argghh!

I’m pretty sure we’re watching the progressive end-game unfold after its 100-year incremental march. Like Mexico’s “institutional revolution” we have instituted and indoctrinated our own offspring to lead us exactly to this point: One Party Government.

It may turn out differently, but I’ve seen the tipping point with Mitt Romney’s vicious and specious attacks on Newt being repeated by all the media/government players. No, they’re not just the usual suspects of the MSM any more. Now our “new media” allies have fought their way to some imagined significance and so they kowtow to the powerful. We are all Capt. Schettino now, I guess, and it’s every man for himself. Don’t judge me, man! It’s market driven media. Capitalism!

It’s different than when Ross Perot ran for president and handed the brass ring to Clinton on a silver platter. We all bemoaned the Third Party split that gave the election to a man without a clear majority. But I think now we have a de facto Only Party. It is comprised of those who will not allow money out of their circle of influence. The wet dream of the Progressives has been to set the have-nots against the haves under the guise of fairness. The dirty secret behind that dream is that the Proggies are panting for the opportunity to be the haves. And for you to be the have-not.

The RNC has told all of us we cannot have Newt (or Cain. Or Palin. Or West.) We have told the RNC they cannot have Mitt. The impasse has drawn a stark contrast that even a blind man can discern. It’s not about being Republican. It’s not about hanging together or separately. Really, when you’re already screwed what’s a few feet of rope and a short drop? That’s the mood out there, folks.

Commenter raven at Legal Insurrection eloquently speaks for me at this juncture:

This is no longer about quarrels between candidates or wounds being inflicted or “healing over time,” it’s about existential differences of political and national identity, and about generations of GOP betrayals which have brought us to this point and which will no longer be denied, ignored, forgotten or forgiven. “Critical mass” has arrived.

Romney is just a representation (if not him, someone else like him) — of power and a presumption to power whose purpose is only in the gaining and keeping of power. This “power” has allowed our collective ship to drift outside the currents of the Constitution, and it clutches the rudder with a death grip.

I don’t know what will happen in Florida, but what Romney has done in the past few months (truly the only “inevitable” thing about Romney was that he would do this) has set in motion something historic. Nothing will be the same. The GOP chose Romney and he’s their destiny.

There’s a simmering idea that we’re all quite happy to leave the GOP with their choice and commit our own last act as a free people by voting our conscience. To Hell with the scare-mongerers who used our worst fears against us, to bring us to heel at the jackboot of the elites.

Meh. It’s Jim’s money, after all. But I am not endorsing a Third Party or any candidate at this point. I’m merely pointing out a mood that is sweeping through the ranks, that if the Establicans set themselves to oppose the will of the rank and file, well, they may be able to kill us, but they can’t eat us.

Now we’re in danger of slipping into a humor thread.

Again, a perspective I share.

The Powers that Be here at FR don't care for lines of reasoning that might lead you to a third-party vote, or a protest vote.

"The Powers that Be here at FR" have made it clear that they will never support Mitt Romney. Dear Oberon, you are in grave danger of having a pineapple shoved up your bottom.

I am aware that Newt Gingrich has received Jim's endorsement, and have no argument with that. If anything, my posts in this thread support Mr. Robinson's perspective rather than oppose it.

Any violence perpetrated with fruits on this thread MUST limit itself to rotten tomatoes from 20 paces.

Now, don't make me stop this thread and come back there!!!

JimRob clearly stated that he will never support Mitt. Do you have any problem comprehending that?

No, none at all.

Hope I haven't upset anyone... all this talk of pineapples makes me nervous.

Why live in fear?

Simply lay down the rules to the GOP.

If it’s Romney, it’s third party.

There are consequences for choices.

Tell the old school. They adapt or get wiped out. Newt Gingrich will get 58 delegates out of TN. By comparison, FL has 50 this year. Keep the pressure on.

No fear. That was a rhetorical device in the headline. :o)

They really can’t “McCain” us again. We fell for that lame “Third Party! Ack!” excuse for the last time in 2008.

Hold the line.

See my tagline.

What really pisses me off is the elite GOP establishment is telling us conservatives the same thing obama is telling us. GO TO HELL! WE DON’T NEED YOUY!

This is from Cleon Skouson's "The Naked Communists" and it lists 45 Communist Goals obtained from the KGB in 1958.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

It is obvious they took over the Democrat Party many years ago and have also infiltrated the Republican Party. I think their main operatives are political consultants using polls conducted by their media accomplices. Those polls encourage the consultants and the party to move to the left to attract the moderates. That way, no matter who wins the society is moved further to the left.

It is very difficult to start a third party and have it certified in all states. Therefore, it is easier for us to continue to try to take over the Republican Party. Even if we were to be able to start a third party the Marxists would immediately start infiltrating it.

The best course of action is to learn the enemy. Do research on The Frankfurt School, Communists Goals, and Saul Alinsky. Know that the media, the Democrat Party and the labor unions, including public employee unions, have all already been taken over. Until now, they have been of the Fabian School of Communism. That means their strategy was to progress slowly through stealth and deception. The IRS, EPA, SS, Welfare, Medicare, the Dept. of Energy, Commerce, Agriculture and others are all part of that. Political correctness is a tactic to silence opposition. Don't allow it.

Vote for the best Republican you can find who will not continue the charade.

Sorry, nobody outside of Italy calls himself a ‘Communist’ any more. Marxists are on faculties of universities and clearly identify themselves as such. The poison has gotten in the water supply. Communism has metamorphosed into ‘goodness’, ‘saintliness’ and political correctness to do good, for the society, for the planet. You’re way behind the curve trying to fight ‘Communism’. It’s a phantom any more. Obama is way ahead of you. Are you for “social injustice”? Are you against clean air? Are you for “racism”? Are you against choice? Are you against goodness, for goodness sake? As I said, the poison is in the water and we’re losing the war.

All of the above said, there is no question in my mind that Obama is a Communist, or post-Communist, who doesn’t consider himself a Communist, and for all practical reasons is more of a true believer Communist than Putin ever was, or even Gorbachev or General Jaruzelski now. So, what are we going to do?
