The taxpayer-subsidized abortion mill, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a 12-month period and performed 329,455 abortions.
While he was in the U.S. Senate representing Pennsylvania, Rick Santorum, a pro-life Roman Catholic, had voted to fund indirectly (through title X family planning) Planned Parenthood clinics.
Santorum also voted in favor of HR 796, the Abortion Clinic Access Bill; his was a “key vote”. HR 796 sought to amend the federal criminal code to prohibit actions directed at clinics which perform abortion procedures, or at those persons attempting to access these clinics.
He also enthusiastically campaigned for pro-abortion Arlen Specter against the more conservative Pat Toomey.

Then how come abortionists, Barbara Boxer, Planned Parenthood, every single sexually deviant psychotic liberal hate Santorum so much?
1. “[I]ndirect funding” means it wasn’t a bill specifically about funding. Knowing RATs, this was probably tacked onto something like military pay funding.
2. Blocking PP access is wrong if you’re doing it on public grounds. Or, maybe, you like the Occupy idiots clogging up cities and pooping all over everything?
3. Every ‘R’ politician has had something to do with the Sphincter over the last 50 years. Bush II kissed his butt, too, don’t forget.
This piece has to work a little harder to be worthwhile. Of course, there’s not too much to work with considering that Santorum was a Senator actually targeted by the DNC for elimination - an honor not many can boast.

“Outlines proscribed acts, including the physical obstruction of entrances to said clinics or acts intended to damage the property, and intimidation or use of force against a person seeking to enter and abortion clinic.”
Physical obstruction, damage of property and intimidation. THAT’s what the bill prohibited. Barring people from acting like OWS thugs is bad because...?

Fact: HR796 passed the house on voice vote. 1993-1994.
Fact: When it's equivalent senate bill, S.636, came to a vote in the house in the SAME year, Santorum voted to TABLE the bill...aka kill it. Santorum later VOTED AGAINST THE BILL ITSELF when it came back to the house.
Fact: Santorum voted to kill this bill twice.

Why is closing “PP access” wrong? There are plenty of other health providers who provide all of their “good” services without profiting from dead babies.
I dislike Romney more and more every time I read this crap.why don’t you tell us about Mitt’s pro abortion stand. Rick has always been against abortion, Mitt is new to the party.
I can only speak for myself, but there WAS a time when I thought the likes of PP and AARP were sacrosanct. I think a lot of people did. But once the curtain of mendacity which shielded both organizations slowly rotted and fell away, I saw them for what they really are. PP is a gang of Baby Killers for Hire, and AARP is a pro-socialist echo chamber for the ‘Rat Party.
I choose to believe that when Rick lent PP his support, it was when his vision, like mine, was obscured by the fog of pseudo-respectability that surrounded them. There is no way Santorum would have supported them if he’d realized that their raison d’etre was killing babies, and NOT women’s HEALTH!
