Mark Steyn: Miss Fluke goes to Washington

When even casual sex requires a state welfare program, you're pretty much done for.

I'm writing this from Australia, so, if I'm not quite up to speed on recent events in the United States, bear with me – the telegraph updates are a bit slow here in the bush. As I understand it, Sandra Fluke is a young coed who attends Georgetown Law and recently testified before Congress.

Oh, wait, no. Update: It wasn't a congressional hearing; the Democrats just got it up to look like one, like summer stock, with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid doing the show right here in the barn and providing a cardboard set for the world premiere of "Miss Fluke Goes To Washington," with full supporting cast led by Chuck Schumer strolling in through the French windows in tennis whites and drawling, "Anyone for bull****?"

The brave middle-age schoolgirl had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else pay for her sex life.

"a society in which middle-age children of privilege testify before the most powerful figures in the land to demand state-enforced funding for their sex lives at a time when their government owes more money than anyone has ever owed in the history of the planet is quite simply nuts."

She will remain a “Miss” or rather Ms. for a very, very long time.

If you had read the article you would know that he later discovered her age ... referred to her as early middle age!

Sandra Fluke is a young coed

I'd say more like seasoned coed.

Sandra Fluke is approaching middle age. She is 30! When does she become an ADULT and take care of herself? She is just another TAKER.

(Love the tag.) The description I liked was “the plucky little Grade 24 schoolgirl.”

Yes, he sure can. And there's this one:

Yet, the same people are determined that Sandra Fluke be treated with respect as a pioneering spokesperson for the rights of the horizontally challenged.

Sure, Paul Tsongas is the Massachusetts liberal who won New Hampshire and then faded. I wiuld like Mitt Romnet, the Massachusetts liberal, to fade similarly.

I am not sure where you get Obama out of this, except that Tsongas was a Dem.

Think what a fool someone would have to be to vote for a jackass like her!

Think what fools compose an electorate that votes for so suicidal and decadent a government!

Think what fools the Romans were to grant Caligula absolute power!

Think what fools the Germans were to grant Hitler absolute power!

Think what fools Americans are to elect Democrat politicians to powerful public office!

She may have been a solider, or rather a “crash test dummy” for the Left, but she has stained herself forever in a Lewinsky way. And she deserves every bit of what's coming to her.

Now, for the rest of her life, no matter what she does or says, no matter where she works and everywhere she goes, all the guys and all the gals in the room are going to be thinking, “Wow! This chick really digs sex. I'll be she is a nympho.”

Even if she is arguing before the Supreme Court, all they are going to have in mind is, “I wonder how many times she had sex this morning?”

She's done. It's over for her.

Even her obit years from now will say, “Ms. Fluke you may remember, became famous in 2012 for really loving to get screwed. She purportedly loved it. Even famous basketball star Wilt Chamberlain is reported to have said of her, “Dayem girl! You're making me look bad.”

She served her purpose for the Leftist elite and when she is of no more value to them, they will trash her mercilessly.

I would bet that Polosi or even that other crazy lunatic lawyer from California would ever shake Flukes hand. I know that even I would feel kind of yucky touching her. Where has that hand been today?...or even an hour ago?...how many STDs does she have?

In closing,.....yuck

When I was 30, I had already served 6 years on active duty, 4 years as a drilling Reservist, been married for a decade, fathered 3 children, and supported my family the whole time.

What kind of loser is still playing kid games in school at 30?

Exactly...
last night there was a discussion (I think on FOX) abt re-electing O’bummer and it was compared to Carter/Reagan...the point being noone gets re-elected with crappy gas prices and high umeployment...
but it seems to me this time, everyone is getting unending unemployment benefits, food stamps (really a credit card) and aren’t working, hence O’bummer’s approval never goes below 45%...
their plan is working and perpetuating a dependent class that will vote for them for ever....
