Welcome to Obama's USSA

Video transcript: Welcome to the gulag, comrade. Four years ago, candidate Barack Obama promised "change" to the American people. So, how is that working out for you?

If you value your freedoms and the US Constitution, the answer has to be 'Not so well."

Last week, Obama quietly signed into law his latest "goose step" down the slippery slope to iron fisted, police-state, tyranny. Sadly, Texas Congressman Ron Paul was one of only two House members voting against HR 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011. Neatly tucked away into the bill is a nasty provision that makes it a Federal felony, punishable by a fine of 10-thousand dollars or up to one year in prison, for anyone to stage a vocal public protest at any event attended by officials receiving protection by the Secret Service.

This bill includes not only the sitting President, but all presidential candidates, and even visiting foreign officials, when guarded by the Secret Service. So, if you stand across the street from the President, and you voice your opposition to the war in Afghanistan, you may be charged, convicted, and imprisoned. Attend a campaign rally for any candidate, shout down his policies with the Secret Service on hand, and you're also in big trouble.

But this is only the latest in a series of attacks on our rights to free speech, freedom of assembly, and the redress of grievances, guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Earlier this month, Attorney General Eric Holder defended Obama's policy awarding our President the unilateral right to kill anyone, including American citizens that he might declare to be terrorists. This followed hot on the heels of the Military Defense Appropriations Act which can be used by the US military to hold indefinitely and without trial American citizens suspected of being terrorists.

Can you say, "Goodbye Habeas Corpus?" You have to wonder, where is the mainstream media? Where is the ACLU? Oh, silly me; they're probably busy, attending the latest Obama fundraiser. For Clean TV, I'm Todd Beezley

Is this for real?! Do they actually think a case would be upheld before the Supreme Court? Inconceivable.

So, this then is the big result of the 2010 voter revolt? Ha! I knew it. Back in 2010 the younger guys at work were giving me no end of grief because for the first time in my life I refused to vote. Since casting my first vote way back in 1984 I finally learned, after the debacle of 2008, that Einstein was correct in saying “Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.” I knew that nothing would change other than the letter at the end of the name. Nothing. Guess this old man knew what he was saying... I love how the joke is on all of us.

You have to wonder, where is the mainstream media?

Glenn Beck discussed this last week.

Also, what happened to Geitner last week? Is it true that he was arrested in New York last week as reported by Judge Andrew Napolitano on FOX? I haven’t heard another word anywhere.

This is what happens when tyrants are emboldened. Their arrogance and feelings of superiority result in a boldness in challenge boundaries and limits set by "the People" in their Constitution of government.

In just the past several days, the Constitution's First Amendment protections have been ignored in multiple ways. Worse, the subject has been disguised in language about "women's health," when it has been "religious freedom," and, in other instances, it has been "freedom of speech," as in the ban on Chaplains reading the Bishop's Letter, or in the case cited here.

November must be about reversing this crushing power move toward tyranny and away from individual liberty.

So the 0ccupiers can’t protest Mitt Romney?

They can, if they are ordered to do so. That's what selective enforcement of law is for.

It doesn't do you any good if after you're dead, the Supreme Court says you were killed illegally.

Not to worry. Obama is unlikely to kill as many as 300 Americans between now and the election, so your chances of being killed are less than one in a million. Much greater chance of being killed by a drunk driver.

If Obama is re-elected he will continue to trash the Constitution and the Bill of Rights while the GOP court eunuchs say and do nothing. I fully expect a second Obama term will transform this country into a virtual police state with a state controlled media and censorship of any dissent, an end to free speech and assembly, a move to disarm the US population and a gulag where state declared “terrorists” will be interned without trial. I would further expect Obama to end free elections and become dictator much like Caesar Chavez. Perhaps our only salvation as a nation is that the US military will not go along with an Obama dictatorship and could oust him in a military coup.

Sometimes laws can backfire on lawmakers.

This will be one of those times.

Law enforcement, be they police or secret service, are not going to be willing or able to enforce this law. They will not arrest people en masse for shouting because it will needlessly take a situation from benign to dangerous.

I’m pretty sure I could find a couple hundred thousand tea partiers who would just love to get arrested for exercising what for over two hundred years has been our right. Now all we have to do is shout?

This law is an invitation to civil disobedience, and for that reason will end up rescinded or “re-interpreted”.

The US government will rue the day it passed this law.

The US government will rue the day it passed this law.

If, and ONLY if, we are willing to enforce the 1st amendment with the 2nd.
