I apologize for not knowing enough about D B law, but now I hope everyone will think what martial law is like. Been there when I was a kid; Do not like it I do not think it is too early to “sound the alarm”. If I am wrong; well been there before, but… if I’m right…we’re in deep.

Moreover, there is no executive power to impose blanket regulations over the economy independent of Congress, even in times of war. In this Executive Order, President Obama assumes that extraordinary power beyond the limits of the Constitution. Indeed, so sweeping are the areas of control, that there is no substantive difference between the powers he has assumed and those of a dictator. Under the March 16 Executive Order, the President invokes a 1950 Act of Congress, the Defense Production Act, as a basis for asserting extraordinary control over the entire economy in service to the national defense needs of the United States. In effect, President Obama has unilaterally expanded the authority of Commander-in-Chief to include not only command of the military but also to command all private parties and resources in support of the military and objectives of his administration. The powers assumed are vast, comparable to those exercised by dictators. Part II of the Order includes the following section, which delegates to the various secretaries of the administration the power to supplant private contracts with federal controls over every part of the economy. Sec. 201. Priorities and Allocations Authorities. (a) The authority of the President conferred by section 101 of the Act . . . to require acceptance and priority performance of contracts or orders (other than contracts of employment) to promote the national defense over performance of any other contracts or orders, and to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense, is delegated to the following agency heads: the Secretary of Agriculture with respect to food resources, food resource facilities, livestock resources, veterinary resources, plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer; (2) the Secretary of Energy with respect to all forms of energy; (3) the Secretary of Health and Human Services with respect to health resources; (4) the Secretary of Transportation with respect to all forms of civil transportation; (5) the Secretary of Defense with respect to water resources; and (6) the Secretary of Commerce with respect to all other materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials. Remember about 2 years back, something approaching a million tea-party types showed up in DC (pre-coffee recollections are sketchy, someone fill me in) with about 3 days notice? There are about that many people muttering “bring it”.
I am reminded of words which the Obama may be entertaining right now, and which he may come to rue the day he did: “[he] has made his decision, now let him enforce it!”
BHO needs to understand: Should the Constitution be suspended (trampled, discarded, wiped with), the next stage is feral law, not executive orders.
Before he declares Martial Law he will need to find or manufacture a “crisis” of some sort—Race riots, terrorism, etc—war—threat of terrorist attack...Ect... Then he will give a speech—cancel the elections for a year—and rule by decree. One he has these “emergency powers” we will have a president for life like they do in any African Nations.

The reason he is declaring Martial Law is to strike down the 2nd amendment and have the authorities collect all guns from the public. Talk about disregard for the constitution AND its Judges!! He just won’t quit! His arrogance even tells him he’s going to win the election by a landslide!
Due to the FHA, Fannie and Freddie Bankruptcies of September, 2008, American home owners lost 30 % of the value of their homes. That is a 30 % cut in just one month. Home values are still down 30 %.
Thus, let us cut the total compensation to all elected Federal politicians, and their staffs by 30 %, and an additional 10 % cut to elected Federal politicians each year until Federal Spending is LESS THAN the average of the previous 2 years of Federal income.
BTW, since slightly less than half of the US House, and 2/3 of the US Senate are Millionaires, it will be a great opportunity for Congress to lead by example that EVERYONE should give up their “fair” share of the American Dream.
What better way can there be to demonstrate that America is truly a SUB-PRIME NATION?

That should be interesting. Somewhere, someone will decide they don't have anything to lose and all hell will break loose. The “authorities” have very limited numbers and are generally supremely overconfident. A recipe for disaster if ever there was one.
I have watched our towns overmanned SWAT team during their maneuvers and they looked like a bunch of Monkeys screwing a football. Of course they're deadly in the middle of the night against unarmed people in bed and their dogs.
