that letter means jack and shows the senator to lack a basic understanding of Article 2 section 1.

being born on US soil grants US citizenship. this is not in question. to be eligible to hold the office of President, one must also be a NATURAL BORN citizen. this would be someone who was a US citizen naturally, as there is no alternative... meaning, BOTH parents were US citizens at the time of birth.

if this was not the case, then any anchor baby could be President with two foreign national parents. obviously, this goes against the plainly worded Article 2 section 1.

ask your senator (please tell us which one) whether or not he understands such a simplistic definition. if he does not, then he is unfit to uphold the oath he took upon taking office.

That was from Senator Richard Burr, way back when the party was just getting started.

I guess that was more or less the official response to people questioning obama's eligibility. I heard people in other states received a similar form letter.

I was hoping for a better, maybe more Constitutional response from the republicans, but instead it was a 'the fix is in' moment for me.

Just wonder what 'the fix' is...shouldn't have to wait much longer to find out.
