Just have her say that the Mom is a teacher and is pregnant by a 15-year old student, the man is her fourth husband and he is sexually molesting the younger son, and the older son has begun hormone treatments for his sex-change operation.

Problem solved.

The day rapidly draws near when society will decide that the non-traditional jerks are “offensive” — and when that day comes, they better watch out.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I am reminded of “Brave New World”. The word, “mother”, was considered shameful and offensive.

Yep, a “traditional” family is now offensive. But had the student depicted two leather-clad homo dudes as parents, with one of them bent-over and bullwhip in his rectum (a la Maplethorpe), well yeah, that would be downright virtuous!

The country has fully entered a deviant bizarro-world where good is evil and evil is good. Things like this sure make the whole prism of ‘politics’ seem rather moot.

Yep, they have been trying to paint us as the 'freaks' for decades. Enough of it. I've had it with the left's Orwellian doublespeak, shaming us into accepting things we disagree with, etc. Remember the commercial "stop saying gay"? Well I will decide what words I will use, and that commercial was GAY!

Oh, the great good news this weekend!

First, I learn that my hometown from high school days has had to cancel the egg hunt because of possible parental violence.

Now we learn that Mrs BN’s high school has hit the national news with this PC idiocy.

“The whole world is festering with unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles.
Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch
AND I DON’T LIKE ANYBODY VERY MUCH!!”

It’s coming.....

“...I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.”

“He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!” Rev 22:20

Lord, if it isn’t too much trouble, could you hurry things up a bit please?

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

(but, yeah, “trials of many kinds” can get old...)

(and yes, Lord, I know I am a long way from “mature and complete, not lacking anything”)

It wouldn’t hurt to remember that the late Mr. Maplethorpe’s
infamous self-portrait of him expanding, his, ahem “horizons” was made possible by the diversion of our tax dollars via the so-called National Endowment for the Arts.

Thank you so very much, Washingcrats, for making my taxes go towards the financial support such a worthy cause (pukus maximus!)

I defer to Robert Heinlein’s wonderful observation pertaining perfectly to cases such as this one:

“A state-supported artist is an incompetent whore.”

In Maplethorpe’s case, it was never truer, and for oh-so-many different reasons.

Let's see, it's the married life that offended and needed painting over because it doesn't represent every student's life. Riiiiiight.

He can walk? A+ grade? The cap and gown? The laptop? The musical instrument? Being male? Are these representative of every student's life?

That verse always reminds me of the church of God the Tester, in the David Weber novels.

No, I am not taking the Word in vain, but the parallel always struck me. Our Lord will not test us beyond out limits. He will test us right up to the edge of them - usually far beyond what we THINK we can handle. He knows when we will break. We just think we know and panic.
Unless we trust. The guy is right there, offering to share the load that we find too heavy. All we have to do is say yes.

Thank you. Mornings are never my strong point and I get slightly discouraged.
(Sorry for the informal wording, I was asked to run the youngsters bible study today, and am not over the language!)

Blessings to you!

...and AMEN!!!

Kind of like *no pain, no gain*.

I need to set a lower threshold of pain. Think God will buy it?

Not a hope, dear Sister. The Lord is a touch harder to con than our gym teachers were!

Pity, that.

Have a Blessed Easter and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your fellowship and good humor!
