As former Speaker Newt Gingrich continues his increasingly long-shot presidential campaign, focusing heavily on the state of Delaware, hes begun opening up and speaking more candidly about the state of the Republican Party and other topics.
At a private meeting with more than a dozen Tea Party group leaders in Delaware, Gingrich griped about Fox News Channels coverage of the Republican race, complaining that the network was in the bag for Mitt Romney from the very start.
I think FOX has been for Romney all the way through, Gingrich is quoted by RealClearPolitics as saying. In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than FOX this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of FOX, and were more likely to get distortion out of FOX. Thats just a fact.
In the meeting, Gingrich also calls the Republican Party a party thats inarticulate.
The Republican Party is a managerial party that doesnt like to fight, doesnt like to read books, he said. This is why the Tea Party was so horrifying. Tea Partiers were actually learning about the Declaration of Independence. They wanted to talk about the Federalist Papers. It was weird. They could be golfing.
Gingrich also stressed that he still plans to continue his fight all the way to the Tampa convention, noting to the media that over 3,500 donors had contributed on his website in the hours following the announcement that Rick Santorum was suspending his presidential campaign.
Thats why if you will help me carry Delaware, it will be that big a jolt, because it breaks up their narrative so decisively, he said. I think we have a real shot to pull this off.
Gingrichs comments about Fox News came shortly after his recent appearance on Sean Hannitys program in which he cut off the host at the start of the interview and joked that he needed to get All the Way to Tampa tattooed on his forehead.
Several times during the interview Hannity referred to the campaign in the past tense, which seemed to irk Gingrich.
...and Hannity likes Newt; always has.
I agree with everything Newt said. When it comes to breaking news, campaign news, and especially post-debate coverage, my dial has increasingly been tuned to CNN.
Fox News has been in the tank for Romney from the earliest days of the primary process. I suspect that when/if it comes to the point that Romney is the nominee, we’ll see a lot of Fox News pundits start attacking him too. All in the name of “fair and balanced”, doncha know.
I’ll stand with Newt until he stands down. All the way to Tampa!
Gingrich Gets it by Golly!
I am half tempted to write in Gingrich on my ballot this fall....
Good grief, Newt! Man up and quit whining!
Gotta admit, that’s what they said when Santorum complained about it.
Yup! But when Gingrich complains the groupies swoon and say how brilliant he is.
FOX News's Devoted Romney-Pimp and Anchor-Wife-in-Training:
We at FOX know Mitt Romney has the perfect height.
And his feet are the perfect shape.
And his hair is perfect, too.
Willard smells so good, that Brit Hume and I tingle together.
So why would it matter to us (shameless) Romney-pimps that he imposed RomneyCARE,
gay marriage, AND covered up the BIG DIG?
So why would it matter to us if he lost yet another primary?
Or if we lied about primary results (Iowa)?
Nope. It does not.
Our love at FOX for Mitt Romney is FOREVER
and we will forever proclaim him the "frontrunner"
here at FOX/BAIN News
even when you laugh on the floor knowing
it is obviously not true."
I’m not going to beat up on Gingrich but I do have real issues with the double standards that some have applied to all the candidates. Michele Bachmann’s promise to bring gas down to $2 was called stupid and desperate as another example.
Simple fact is that a lack of ethical behavior on the part of conservatives is why we now face the prospect of Mitt Romney.
I have not watched Fox since Hume’s tantrum after Newt’s South Carolina win.
I first started to doubt him when he whined about his seat on Air Force One. The self-pity runs strong in him.
I’m not beating up on Gingrich, but his groupies have left a bad taste in my mouth. They weren’t content to just disagree with Santorum, they set out to destroy him. They could have helped take down Romney when it mattered, but stubbornly refused to see the long term strategy and clung to the notion that Gingrich was going to make a come-back. Now they expect the Santorum supporters to just forget all the nasty remarks and the snarky put downs? Not this girl! I’d find it very hard to vote for Gingrich at this point due to their vicious attacks.
“Forgot my hair-spray bottle-hit the sky
half way to Tampa ‘fore I realised
Well I called my make-up lady-my hair was flat
She said the bag was empty we'll use shellac.
Now it's a mighty long way down the dusty trail
and I can't find a cutie-pie to do my nails,
cuz though I'm a geezer Viagra’s on sale,
All THE WAY TO TAMPA.”
LLS
Now they've hired the spawn of Jessie Jackson who has never done anyting in her life but will spew talking points as an in-house pundit
Has FOX News 'Jumped The Shark' Over Mitt???
FOX News may have 'jumped the shark' over mittens
Fair and balanced is Juan McCain
I for one have had enough of the wisdom of Bill Kristal, Chas. Krauthammer, Ted Baxter, Bret Beahr, Toyko Rove, Ann Colter, Chris Wallace, Sean Wannabe, Dana Parino, Brit Hume, Shep Smith, Judge Jeanine, Alan Comes, Bob Beckle, Juan Williams, Whoraldo, P.T. Trump, et. al. all acting the part of the Romney cheerleading squad
Does anyone else 'feel my pain'?
.
Name ONE true conservative who is regularly on FOX
There is clearly a hunger and a market for honest news and honest conservative news - and it is clearly not FOX
with apologies to Ted Knight .Find O'Reilly:

As a former Palin/Bachmann/Cain/DeMint/Perry/Santorum groupie, I'm stuck now as a Newt groupie - and I preferred Newt over Santorum although I could have supported either. I'm not as thrilled with Newt as I would have been with many of the other options if we had worked harder to choose a decent republican instead of a democrat with (R) after his name, but he's got my vote. This is a dreadfully important election, one that will decide the future of the western world, and I don't see much chance of a positive outcome. We have to elect so conservative a Congress that the liberal in the White House (a guaranteed outcome if it's a choice between Romney and Obama) can't do as much damage to our economy and to individual freedom as they want. Even with that Congress, this is going to be extremely ugly - SHTF and CW II are both possible.
Who is “they”? And what has this vague “they” got to do with anything at all?
