With the Obama Department of Justice reportedly preparing to sue Sheriff Joe Arpaio to enforce "oversight" - essentially taking over his department - the CBS Evening News took a look at the Sheriff and the accusations against him.
As usual, Joe did not disappoint.
Asked if he enjoyed being "disliked", Arpaio said:
"Well I sure don't want to be known as a nice guy. I'm not a social worker, I'm a cop!"Arpaio told CBS News that the Administration is only after him because they don't like him enforcing immigration laws. He also said he would "never resign", and is instead running hard for re-election.
CBS tried their best to smear Arpaio with damaging anecdotes, but it falls flat, as he clearly charmed the reporter, and you just know that most Americans who watched the segment like Joe more than ever.
Perhaps this is why the Administration gets so exasperated by the Sheriff - because no matter how they try and demonize him, Americans continue to support him. Because Arpaio represents the kind of lawman the nation used to have: those who did their job no matter what the cost, and refused to kowtow to politicians.
Unfortunately what we usually see are absolute disgraces like the LAPD’s Charlie Beck - who is nothing but a lapdog for L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and who recently said he would California's car impound law because it is "unfair" to illegal aliens.
Sheriff Joe does not kowtow to anyone, from his local councilman to the President of the United States. And we salute him for it.

The Associated Press, citing an anonymous tip, reported that the allegations involved prostitutes in Cartagena, the city hosting the gathering. The AP also said 12 agents were involved. The Washington Post cited the president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, Jon Adler, as saying that the allegations were tied to at least one agent being involved with prostitutes in Cartagena.
Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan declined to confirm that the conduct involved prostitutes.
“There have been allegations of misconduct made against Secret Service personnel in Cartagena, Colombia prior to the President’s trip. Because of this, those personnel are being relieved of their assignments, returned to their place of duty, and are being replaced by other Secret Service personnel. The Secret Service takes all allegations of misconduct seriously. This entire matter has been turned over to our Office of Professional Responsibility, which serves as the agency’s internal affairs component,” Donovan said in a statement sent to Yahoo News by email.

5. Please produce your Harvard University transcripts.
6. Please produce your Illinois State Senate records including your voting record.
7. Please produce your Illinois State Senate schedule.
8. Please produce your Law practice client list and billing records/summary.
9. Please produce the locations and names of all half-siblings and stepmother.
10. Your complete Medical Records (we've only seen the one page summary released so far). Have you had drug tests done? Are you still using coke? Please, your liver function tests to clarify alcohol abuse. Have you had an AIDS test?
11. Please produce your Occidental College Transcripts. Also, any records of student aid received and under what names(s) and nationality.
12. Please show us your Parent’s original Marriage Certificate.
13. Please produce your record of Baptism.
14. Please produce your Selective Service registration records (Did you actually Register for Selective Service? Why is the 19 missing from the date stamp? Why is the date of the stamp earlier than the date of the person's signature?) Also, why does your Social Security number, 042-68-4425, not pass E-verify?
15. Please provide us with schedules for all trips outside of the United States before 2007.
16. Please produce all Passport records for all passports, US and otherwise - before the scrubbing.
17. Can you show us a list of your scholarly articles?
18. Your SAT and LSAT test scores please. Did you even take the SAT and LSAT?
19. What's with no access to your grandmother in Kenya?
20. Please list of all campaign workers that currently are lobbyists.
21. Please produce Punahou grade school records.
22. Why are Noelani Kindergarten records are oddly missing from the the State of Hawaii Department of Education?
23. Please produce page 11 of Stanley Ann Dunham's divorce decree.
24. Why did you, President Barack Obama, resign from the Illinois bar and where are all of the relevant documents?
Why are these records hidden? Who are you President Obama? Will these records be revealed before November 6, 2012? We the People care about our country deeply and are very concerned about a POTUS who has hidden every scrap of information about his life.
The voting public deserves to know these answers. We have many more questions, but please answer these first to show your transparency and good faith. We'll keep passing this list on until we get some answers.

I wonder how she actually phrased it? I realize the trial proceedings are available, but I simply don’t have time to read the whole thing. Does anyone have Hill’s quote handy?

"Having the Goods" on Obama is meaningless until 1 person in authority gets the cue and does something, such as removing him from the ballot within that person's constitutional jurisdiction.
It hinges and has always hinged on Obama’s popularity. The more his polls slip the more and bolder become the challenges. His polls slipped again recently, and gas prices and unemployment—built-in features of Obamanomics—will assure the slide continues. All that remains to be seen is the magic number. I.e.: how low do his numbers have to get before a full scale assault, aided and abetted by terrified Dems, ensues?
We will almost certainly find out prior to Nov.
