So, tell me, who do we vote for? Romney=Obama=a vote for crimes against humanity
Holy Souls Hermitage ^ | 4/13/12 | Fr George David Byers

So, here’s the website: http://www.cc2w.org/ (you’ve seen their great video). However, I’ve got a question: Who do we vote for?

Mitt Romney created the contraceptive/abortifacient mandate and Obamacare, both of these men reject the Constitution on freedom of religion.

Is it a matter of voting for vice presidents instead of presidents? Don’t vice-presidents just go to state funerals?

Two quotes from Evangelium Vitae of Blessed Pope John Paul II:

(1) When a parliamentary or social majority decrees that it is legal, at least under certain conditions, to kill unborn human life, is it not really making a “tyrannical” decision with regard to the weakest and most defenceless of human beings? Everyone’s conscience rightly rejects those crimes against humanity of which our century has had such sad experience. [EV 70]

(2) In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to “take part in a propaganda campaign in favour of such a law, or vote for it”. [EV 73]

So, basically, it’s a crime against humanity to vote for Romney or Obama as that is a direct vote for total war on children in the womb by these totally cowardly, anti-American, abusers of power out to harm children. Is one really better than the other? Really? Tell me why…

I’m voting for Romney and am not energized or excited about it nor do I expect to be -— ever. My vote is an anybody but Obama vote.

My stronger focus is on the house and senate. I pray we retain the house and take over the senate with a strong consevative majority. That is my prayer.

Unless a miracle happens to stop Romney, we’re all screwed. I’ve agonized both sides of Romney and cannot vote for him. Might write in my toaster just to make a statement.

Vote for the one who won’t veto as many bills from a conservative Congress, or at least be more supportive of Boehner, and who had 2 American parents and who wasn’t raised by communists, and who doesn’t have a chip on his shoulder against capitalism or individual pursuits, or who can’t say his son would look like a hoodlum, or who is not a Statist, or didn’t pal around with terrorists or who carries a torch for liberation theology.

"ROMNEY SUCKS!!!!"

You, too, are absolutely correct. However, after a year of trying, he's all we've got.

Age has one benefit - experience.

Many of us have been through this exact same situation, although it was perhaps a bit better than this one.

After the euphoria of the glorious victories in 1994, a dismal 1996 faced us. Bob Dole in many ways wasn't a bad as mittens. But like anyone that has been in Washington a long time, his positions had shifted all over the place. Not as bad as McLames, but certainlly there were many troubling things in his words and actions.

So in 1996, just like in 2008, I and many others held our noses and voted for the least objectionable.

The only saving grace is that at least for the next four years you can truthfully say, “well, I voted against this SOB.”

I believe we may need to organize massive anti Romney Tea Party rallies at the GOP Convention. This could be the last stand for the Republic.

NO ROMNEY!

NO WAY!

I plan on using the same clothes pin I used for McCain, but there is no way I will not vote against obama.

I just don’t understand how anyone can think that Romney would appoint supreme court justices anywhere close to what obama will.

Sorry, but I have grandchildren and have to be pragmatic about it. I’ll play the hand dealt.

I don’t understand why some people feel the need to have others tell them who to vote for.

Any one who thinks a Romney presidency will be equally bad as Obama has been is either blind, stupid, uninformed, or all of the above.

Let's deconstruct this common, yet ill-informed, platitude.

We've seen what an Obama administration looks like. We've also seen what a Romney administration looks like.

Is there really that much actual, substantive difference between the two?

I'm failing to see where the differences are that folks like you assert must nevertheless somehow exist.

I will do the same.

PS I am also thinking that, perhaps to an extent, we are looking for a POLITICAL solution, rather than a spiritual one.
In the time of Jesus, the people of Israel were looking for a Messiah....who would be primarily political. We do not need to make that same mistake. Only GOD can authentically restore our nation!

While Romney is not the best choice, the reelection of Obama would be disastrous. I fear the reelection of Obama in November might be the last free election in this country as Obama will like Hugo Chavez establish himself as a virtual dictator.

Respectfully, us ABO people have looked at all evidence and find your list of “boths” to be colored by half-truths and distortions. Yet we shy from going into much detail on this given the hostile climate.
