So, tell me, who do we vote for? Romney=Obama=a vote for crimes against humanity
Holy Souls Hermitage ^ | 4/13/12 | Fr George David Byers

So, here’s the website: http://www.cc2w.org/ (you’ve seen their great video). However, I’ve got a question: Who do we vote for?

Mitt Romney created the contraceptive/abortifacient mandate and Obamacare, both of these men reject the Constitution on freedom of religion.

Is it a matter of voting for vice presidents instead of presidents? Don’t vice-presidents just go to state funerals?

Two quotes from Evangelium Vitae of Blessed Pope John Paul II:

(1) When a parliamentary or social majority decrees that it is legal, at least under certain conditions, to kill unborn human life, is it not really making a “tyrannical” decision with regard to the weakest and most defenceless of human beings? Everyone’s conscience rightly rejects those crimes against humanity of which our century has had such sad experience. [EV 70]

(2) In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to “take part in a propaganda campaign in favour of such a law, or vote for it”. [EV 73]

So, basically, it’s a crime against humanity to vote for Romney or Obama as that is a direct vote for total war on children in the womb by these totally cowardly, anti-American, abusers of power out to harm children. Is one really better than the other? Really? Tell me why…

But the question I have for ANY who say they can vote for Romney —is Can the Ethiopian change the color of his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good that are accustomed to do evil.-Jeremiah 13:23. If both men are accustomed to do evil then how could a righteous man -or woman vote for either? It seems to me we got here by following the advice of the establishment —and voting for the lesser of two evils. And Unless I am mistaken Romney has a record of appointing liberal/”progressives” that matches the wise Latina and Harvard Kagin any day.

"I just don’t understand how anyone can think that Romney would appoint supreme court justices anywhere close to what obama will."
That's an easy one...just look at his record. There are no degrees of socialism that make it acceptable. My socialist is better than your socialist just does not work with me anymore. Socialism is the enemy of the constitution, and it does not matter what letter follows your name..... a vote for romney is the exact same as a vote for fubo ( based upon the records of each one ) and i will not put my name down for the advancement of tyranny in this country. My vote is like a bullet, and it is aimed at the heart of socialism, regardless of the candidate.

FR supported RINO Bush over Gore and Kerry, didn’t they?

But RINO Bush wasn't a chameleon.

“I’m failing to see where the differences are that folks like you assert must nevertheless somehow exist”

I am hoping it is just bluster and holding out hope for the convention. No real patriot would do anything to help keep the kenyan in the WH.

I am a cashier and I deal with hundreds of people a day, and I am repeatedly asked by people who see others being rude to me “how can you take that and stay calm”? I say “I don’t let them steal my soul”. To be rude in return is letting evil win. I smile and tell them to have a nice day. It makes them more angry.

For me to vote for Romney would be letting a political choice steal my soul. I am anti-abortion, anti-Romney/Obamacare, anti-mormonism and anti-gay marriage. I do not want to compromise my soul for Romney who believes in all I am against. He is not a conservative, he is a liberal republican elitist cutthroat.

There is a division of church and state. Either you follow Gods law or you follow civil law. If you follow Gods law there would be no need for civil law because there would be no crimes committed. I choose to follow Gods law. I will not vote for Romney...period.

GO NEWT!

Let’s see.

Romney nominated pro-gay judges who advanced the gay agenda in Massachusetts.

Romney raised “fees,” as well as more traditional taxes, in MA to the tune of ~$5 billion.

Romney supported and signed a permanent “assault weapons” ban in MA.

Romney pulled for and got a $50 abortion co-pay in the MassCare bill he also pulled for and shepherded to passage.

Romney specifically dismissed objections from the Catholic church and other groups about the universal applicability of the abortion coverage requirement in MassCare.

These are all documented facts. If you’d like to argue them, fine, you may futilely do so.

You listed quite a few of Romney's leftist failings, but you neglect to list even one of his conservative accomplishments, so I will do it for you:

hmm, let me think.....

Still thinking.....

Aw forget it.

“it boils down to I would rather have Romney(gag choke)pick the next SCOTUS justice than the messiah.”

Odds are it doesn’t matter:

13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers

Romney doesn't have the nomination yet, BUT if he does get it you had better vote for him and for every republican senator and congressman running for office. Right now Republican is all we have and we can force Romney, as we did bush on some issues, to go to the right. We will never be able to force Bozo to do anything but try and ruin the country.

Get a frickin' brain. I don't want Romney either but better him than another term for Bozo.

the level headed will understand that it’s not just about the person who will sit behind the Resolute desk. We must not forget the President’s cabinet, his advisors, and others that influenced his political ideology? For Obama we all have become familiar with names like;

Bill Ayers,
George Soros
Cass Sunstein
Van Jones
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Frances Fox Piven
Reverend Write.

Now we are still in the Primary process, and if someone is still pinning their hopes on Newt, or Paul, then by all means go for it. But comes Aug 27th when the GOP convention is in full swing, they need to start thinking about who will influence the Romney administration, and will they rather have different names on his list, or go another 4 years with the ones above?

If the candidate is Romney, I vote for Romney. I want the most conservative candidate and will fight for that candidate, but if we are left with the choice of pretty boy and commie boy, I will gag, pull the handle for Romney, then go take a weeklong shower to clean away the stench.

Hopefully, if that happens, we also get congress and the senate because they will have to drag Romney kicking and screaming for 4 years.

Who do we vote for? Conservatives for Congress and Senate, and any consevative write in or third party candidate. If you’re not consistently voting for conservatives you’re part of the problem. As long as the GOP thinks conservatives won’t leave, conservatives will be an abused wife.

Anyone who supports Romney, ESPECIALLY at this point in the game when he's not even the nominee yet, FAILS at conservatism.

You've gone wobbly on us.

You are compromised.

You've let your fear of Obama cause you to betray your values, principles and integrity.

You are cowardly hypocrites trying to drag the rest of us down your path of faithlessness.

It takes courage to stand your ground in the face of adversity, against the odds, against overwhelming naysaying of sheeplike herd mentality.

Be encouraged or GTFO, you are stinking up the place with your fail.

Look at the polls for your state just prior to the general election and if it appears that Romney or Obama has an insurmountable lead vote for a third party or stay house. If the polls show a close election, vote for Romney or Obama based on which of the two come closer to your positions on five or more issues about which you feel the strongly about.

I have strong convictions about immigration, Supreme Court appointments, fiscal responsibility, smaller government, state rights and gun rights. If I decide to refine my analysis, I might decide to assign weights to my convictions.

I respect your point of view. Romney certainly is not my choice as nominee. But I will vote my conscience, as will you.

The past performance of a politician is certainly a valid consideration in an election, however I accept that some will change for the better over time. Although not on the same level, Reagan at one time was a democrat, union leader and divorced Hollywood actor. I’m sure that even if Palin were the nominee, there would be those here who would now be attacking her for some position she states. It’s no wonder we don’t have better candidates; who would want to run in this environment.

I know my own political views have changed over the last dozen years, in large part due to discussions on FR. It pains me to see the forum which used to be devoted to real intellectual discussion devolve into factional name calling and personal attacks. If someone is not 100% in line with another, their opinion is totally discounted. The purity test makes the perfect the enemy of the good.

In the end, I will do whatever I can to defeat obama, and if it means voting for Romney, I will do so proudly.

It’s not over yet. Support Newt.

Agree. We should be promoting this!

Let's translate our anger into action. We can't count on a brokered convention.

Go to Newt.org and contribute. For those who still have a primary vote ... get out there and vote for Newt!

Let's roll!

Me, too.

The other day I said the same thing to a pro-Romney Freeper, and he said it was nothing but a bumpersticker-—not reality.

Very sad.
