Alarmed by widespread reports of visibly sick, deformed seafood coming out of the Gulf of Mexico, state officials have closed area waters to shrimping this morning (April 23). The waters will be closed indefinitely as scientists run tests in an effort to get a handle on a situation that is fast becoming a full-blown crisis on the Gulf Coast.

The closures – including all waters in the Mississippi Sound, Mobile Bay, areas of Bon Secour, Wolf Bay and Little Lagoon – mark the first official step in responding to increasingly urgent reports from fishermen and scientists of grotesquely disfigured seafood from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle.

“the oil spill that is completely gone now, by the way.
Uh, huh. You just keep on believing what the obama govt. tells you.”

Yawn. What are you, like, 15 and this is your first foray into enviro-activism?

Hey, I’m game: Like, save the whales, man. Because global cooling is going to kill them all off by 2010. Yep.

The best thing about an environmentalist is that they rarely know anything about the environment that they are preaching to you about.

Ah, the wonderful benefits of a gigantic oil spill mixed with corexit on wildlife

Sounds like a typical 1950's horror B movie without the radiation.

This site is considered a joke even within the environmentalist community. Is this supposed to be a humor posting?

You mean you call denial.

Didn’t you read the article regarding 400 lbs of eyeless shrimp?

Go dump some Mean Green in your aquarium and see what it does to your fish. Corexit is the same ingredient base as Mean Green.

Some people are out of sight, out of mind. They can’t SEE the oil settled on the bottom of the ocean, so wala! It’s GONE!

Does anyone use Dawn liquid? If you use it to wash greasy dishes and leave the water for a few hours, then drain it. Rub the bottom of your sink to find your finger will pick up a layer of grease that has settled to the bottom.

Corexit is a DEGREASER. The oil doesn’t just disappear, it SINKS. If it had been left alone, bacteria would have taken care of it.

It’s not the oil that was the problem, it was the Corexit that was used to FOOL people into not SEEING it.

God should just wipe us off the planet.

****************************

Do you believe that God loves this planet more than the souls whom He created in His own image?

Genesis 1:26 "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

There are plenty of bacteria and microbes on the ocean floor.

Scientists have found that rocks beneath the seafloor are teeming with microbial life.

A couple years back I found a DNR officer collecting ooze in a swamp near here. He was collecting the ooze for some study on the oil eating bacteria that thrive there due to the oil that seeps out of the ground.

“I smell the Kenyan bastard’s friends behind this for reasons yet to be known.”

The reason is very easy to see: He didn’t carry any of the Gulf-Coast states in the election. “Retribution” is written all over this one.
