Were never more than a step or two from tyranny. And the inclination to be tyrannical is buried not so deep beneath the surface even in the best of us. Who hasnt longed to shut someone else up because the others message is so, take your pick, offensive, stupid, wrong, different, harmful, or even, correct?
Theres much thats wrong with journalism, and we spend a good bit of our day saying so, and pointing out its failings, particularly when those failing originate from the other end of the ideological spectrum.
But whats worse . . .

Everyone should be free to go and publish on their own and let the market decide.
HOWEVER.
If you are asking someone else to publish it for you, such as a newspaper, book publication, website, etc, then it is up to the owner of that publication the content they want to publish.
You may have freedom of speech, but you don’t have the right to use someone else’s printing press or storefront that they pay for.
Lots of folks seem to want to stop lame-assed blogpimps using resources they didn't pay for to advertise their material.
You would be one of those blogpimps and I hope you fall down a hole.
