The Rules Are Changing for Talking about Race
American Thinker ^ | May 17, 2012 | Jay Schalin

Attorney General Eric Holder should have been more careful about what to ask for. When he first took office, he called for a national dialogue on race, calling us "a nation of cowards" for not facing the subject honestly.

It may be that he's getting what he asked for, but it is not taking the direction he expected. There's perhaps a little too much courage and honesty going on for his tastes.

Until very recently, white people in the public eye carefully avoided any comments that fell outside narrow politically correct boundaries; to do so was to volunteer to be the defendant in a media show trial, with a loss of reputation and career the likely result. Even Bill Cosby, who had achieved a universal father-figure status among African-Americans and was arguably the nation's most popular black person, had his ears pinned back with a firestorm of criticism in 2004 when he suggested that problems in the black community originated in that community rather than with white racism.

But the Trayvon Martin case seems to have lifted the lid off the forbidden box, and, despite attempts to put the lid back on, politically incorrect spirits are escaping into the mainstream. Subsequent events show that a real dialogue may be taking place -- with conservatives hitting back instead of submitting to expectations of ideological perp walks and mea culpas.

Martin's death at the hands of community watch captain George Zimmerman was at first depicted in the national media as a classic case of violent white racism. Yet as more facts trickled out, that depiction became increasingly dubious. Furthermore, the media, politicians, and racial activists behaved so unethically, and their rhetoric was so over the top (Al Sharpton said the Republicans were calling for "a war on blacks" and....

Oh, they don't want an honest debate about race. They want anything BUT an honest debate about race. Let's look at some crime statistics, some standardized test score statistics, some high school dropout statistics, some government handout statistics, and some unwed mother/fatherless children statistics, and then let's have an “honest” debate about race with Eric Holder. Honest debate indeed.

How about this Raytown, MO shooting. A “random murder”. The cops pursued this with great zeal and commitment, but gave up after three days, saying someone would have to come forward to solve it. Too bad the perps didn’t call 911 to tell on themselves, BEFORE THEY DID IT.

A “nation of cowards” we are not when it comes to this subject. If he doesn’t like the answers he’s getting, it’s all on him. Close the Pandora’s box before the really bad stuff gets out, is all I can advise him to do, and get off his sick racial agenda.

Close the Pandora’s box ...

The very essence of this metaphor is its impossiblilty. Well, in the story Pandora did close the box, only to trap one remaining spirit, HOPE, which she finally released as well. Maybe CHANGE is still in there, dunno.

Here’s the summary of the Zimmerman/Martin case so far:

Brown democrat shoots black democrat, white republicans blamed.

So long as they can work this narrative and blame whitey for every problem black Americans have they will be able to shift responsibility for their own failures. I wonder who’s responsible for the hundred or so black kids shot by other black kids since Treyvon died. Probably not white republicans.

Well, it kinda is a war. It used to not be. It used to be a one way slaughter.
Now citizens are aware of being targeted by feral federal fleas, and have started to fight back.

To me one of the saddest thing is the black community is eating it’s own.. There are obviously very decent black folks who don’t fit into the mold of victim theology..But the way they spin reality pulls all into the vortex of black hatred..
obviously all are judged by their actions.Let us pray to accept each others differences, but have open eyes to those who embrace the hatred and desire all harm..

Yeah, Holder meant that everyone should shut up and let him talk about race.

People, even white people can only be pushed so far.

The pushing hasn't stopped since Obama took office.

It started with his appointments. Appointing people like Holder, appointing blacks and incompetents and women like Sebelius, Kagen, and others.Even appointing a Pedophile to school security. Along came the intimidation at the polling booth and the subsequent walk given the perps.Fast and Furious, an attempt to have more firearms laws passed by Obama Democrats, ignoring Congressional subpoenaes, the Obamacare, the arrogance of regulations passed by a President who told the Congress flat out that if they didn't pass laws he would regulate unrestricted, then he threatens the Supreme Court.

Even worse a Congress that stands by and watches while their powers are being stolen right from under their noses. The Congress must speak up or the American people will speak for them, and it won't be pretty.

The Greatest Story Never Told is that Eric “My People” Holder explicitly stated before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2009 that white Americans are NOT protected by federal hate crime laws that protect other Americans from racist violence.

http://blackracismandracehatred.blogspot.com/2012/05/us-attorney-general-ericmy-people.html

Given Holders racist double standard on hate crimes, this should be a blockbuster news story. But it is almost completely suppressed by the Corrupt Liberal Media.

Considering almost weekly black mob attacks against whites, and given that this is an election year, one would think that the Rs would be highlighting this injustice in national political adds.

But not a peep of protest from the craven Republicans.

Holder was right about one thing, although for reasons opposite of what he meant.

We are a nation of cowards on race issues.

Take a look at the comments on articles about black-on-white crime these days, like jogger shot, gang initiation suspected, or Teenagers Hold Up Restaurant As A 'Prank' .

If these are representative, then a hard storm is coming.

When men lose their jobs for using words like “niggardly” and a phrase like “chink in the armor,” then we’re not having any kind of dialogue on race. We’re being stifled by cowards and fools. When the blather of Al Sharpton and the hypocritical hyperbole of Jesse Jackson merge with the maniacal ravings of Louis Farrakhan to constitute the thesis of a discussion, it is bound to be less discussion than sideshow.

Up till now, any “dialogue” on race has been strictly monochromatic.
