I do recall feeding quarters into the jukebox everyday to hear this song at the arcade that summer of '74, couldn't get enough of it... nor her. After ten Grammy Awards, I guess I wasn't the only one who saw something there-
Written by Stevie Wonder for Chicago's Rufus feat. Chaka Khan, 'Tell Me Something Good' went all the way to #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and was one of the very first tunes to utilize the 'talk box' Peter Frampton made so famous soon afterward.
Photos don't really do this woman justice, just check-out the stage presence at this 1974 show in Central Park...

Actually, in 1974 the Andrews Sisters were starring on Broadway, less than a mile away (I forget the name of the play). Travolta got his start in the show as a ‘chorus boy’.

There’s all sorts of false flag trolls out there, the Left is engaged in an internet scorched-earth campaign in a desperate plea to salvage this vile regime- they know the Left is about to enter the political wilderness for a decade or two

Truth be told I love the Andrews Sisters, and so does the wife... at 50, I didn’t exactly grow up with them
I got a best hits CD I listen to all the time, most talented mob wife I’ve ever seen lol

Rufus and Bob Hope played the same venue!!!??? What, wasnt Guy Lombardo available?
If Bing Crosby and David Bowie can sing "The Little Drummer Boy" together, anything's possible.

Sid was one of the original Motown guys(he helped run the New York office), before he moved to Chi-town. He was in a band called “Rotary Connection” with Minnie Riperton in Chicago in the late ‘60’s. He knew Chaka’s family, and her as a young girl. Sid helped to groom her and introduced her to people to get her going. On a side note, Sidney’s best friend is George Clinton, of P-Funk fame, and they still collaborate today. Interesting guy...
