The Jindal VP Swindle, A RINO in Pachyderm's Clothing

In the past week, the Bobby Jindal for Vice President Campaign has moved into hyper drive. More pro-Jindal-as-VP columns have been written, but this time from smart, but seriously misguided, Louisiana conservative columnists.

Incredibly, for a Governor who has spent the past five years constantly traveling the country, he has hit the campaign trail even more in 2012. Every week, he is out of the state raising funds for the GOP, collecting political IOU’s, and establishing his name recognition among that influential power base, top Republican donors. In recent days, he has traveled to Virginia and Illinois and plans to go to West Virginia next week.

No freaking way. No Rubio either. Romney is so loathesome that the only way I could ever, every even slightly consider voting for him is if there is a real conservative on fire VP.

With a non-NBC RINO-esque VP, Romney could even lose against 0mugabe. I can only assume that the RNC/GOP would rather lose to 0mugabe than have a real honest conservative as Pres. Disgusting.

Jindal is not a factor. He brings no electoral votes. The vp will come from a state that can help the candidate get elected.

Jindal can’t be VP. He doesn’t fit the “Natural Born” criteria. His parents were both born in India. Rubio is the same. His parents were born in Cuba. They will not make the short list.

I'm not sure where the writer is getting some of his information from. Take his criticism that (in his words) the schools are ranked at the bottom. According to state by state SAT rankings, Louisiana is nowhere near the bottom:

State Education Rankings:
Louisiana SAT Scores
Critical Reading SAT Score: 563 (Ranking 18)
Math SAT Score: 558 (Ranking 17)
Writing SAT Score: 555 (Ranking 16)
Total SAT Score: 1676 (Ranking 18)

At the same time, it wouldn't be surprising if LA's test score results were at the bottom of the rankings - as a former slave state, LA has the highest % of blacks of any state in the country, at 32% of the population, compared with the runner-up AL, at 29%.

That’s old school thinking that no longer applies. Look at the last 3 GOP VP candidates. Kemp, Cheney and Palin brought nothing to the table electorally. Cheney listed Wyoming, a 3 electoral vote state to avoid being from the state as G.W., and Palin likewise brought 3 electoral votes to the game. Jack Kemp hailed from a giant state that Republicans knew he could not and would not deliver.

It’s not that their parents were born in other countries, it’s that their parents were not US citizens at the time Rubio and Jindal were born. If their parents had become naturalized citizens at the time they were born, they’d be in. But such was not the case; their parents naturalized after the births, in both cases.

do you think a real conservative vp would RUN anything in a romney administration..no he would just be tainted when he has to run after romney is finished....this is just bad all around I am almost wanting obama to win, the collapse will happen sooner. I would rather get it over with instead of having romney drag it out. let romney pick a rino

You may be right. Just as Clinton pried away a few Southern states for the Democrats by choosing Gore as his running mate, Romney may end up choosing Christie or some other other non-red state RINO to fish for votes outside of GOP strongholds in the South. His dilemma is that his Mormonism, combined with his political apostasy, may not guarantee his hold on the South, so he may need to pick someone like Jindal. In addition, it's actually arguable that Romney by himself is enough of a RINO to appeal to the blue states, without needing a RINO running mate, no matter how the media attempts to paint him as this extreme conservative.

You are right. The vomit factor with Romney is so severe I just can’t imagine voting for him. He is the very epitome of loathesomeness.

Jindal fails the NBC test (natural born citizen), and I believe Rubio may fail it also.

This country has been turned upside-down, disregarding the Constitution, and now we are blessing the illegals with benefits bestowed Constitutionally ONLY on Citizens. We need more lead.

i know its like some of these people think the president is suppose to be a dictator and the vp is the mini dictator..so if a rino is selected for president I WONT vote for him unless he select a conservative dictator as vp. being a vp is the perfect job for biden he is incompetent and he is in charge of nothing.

Fact: Obama’s father was not US citizen ever.

Fact: Obama is officially elected president of US and
almost done with his 1st term in office, running
again for 2nd term.

Therefore the meme about Jindal & Rubio’s parents is irrelevant obfuscation and a total waste of time.

Jindall is a RINO? Yeah right. Make sure to send your three dollars to Obama so you can have dinnet and whatever celebrity is hosting his overpriced fundraiser this week.

“His parents were both born in India.”

Doesn’t matter where they were born. What matters is that they were NOT US citizens when little Bobby (Marco) were born.

NBCs need not be the offspring of other NBCs.......

Jindal gives me heartburn. He would not be the spark that would get me to vote “for” Mittens.

And having just spent a few weeks in Louisiana...not sure how anyone can think things are going great.

Lastly...maybe it’s just me...but why don’t some of these gov’s stay in their own state and get things done? What’s with all the outside travel? Who’s paying for it and why don’t they get a pay deduction for not doing their freaking job?

Rubio’s parents were not US citizens when he was born. Neither one is a NBC. But even if Rubio’s ancestors all came over on the Mayflower he’s still vilely unconservative.
