Reporter who interrupted Obama: I thought he was finished (MSM circles wagons for Dear Leader)

The journalist who sparked a ruckus inside the Beltway and on Twitter by interrupting President Barack Obama's formal remarks on immigration wants the world to know it was all a big misunderstanding. The Daily Caller's Neil Munro implausibly claims that he never meant to cut off the president and thought he was finished speaking.

"I timed the question believing the president was closing his remarks, because naturally I have no intention of interrupting the President of the United States," Munro said in a statement on the Daily Caller's website after his Rose Garden showdown with Obama.

"A reporter's job is to ask questions and get answers," said the site's editor in chief, Tucker Carlson. "Our job is to find out what the federal government is up to. Politicians often don't want to tell us. A good reporter gets the story. We're proud of Neil Munro."

The Daily Caller's publisher, Neil Patel, also chimed in: Munro "in no way meant to heckle the President of the United States."

"We are very proud of, @NeilMunroDC for doing his job," the Daily Caller said on its official Twitter feed.

But reporters near Munro during the outburst said, well, not so much to the whole "didn't mean to interrupt" the president thing. Many took to Twitter to share their doubts."I was two people over from Neil Munro. No one thought the president was wrapping up. I give that statement a great big Cow Pie Award," Brianna Keilar of CNN said on Twitter.

"I was standing right behind Munro in the Rose Garden," said Todd Zwillich, Washington correspondent for The Takeaway from Public Radio International, on Twitter. "Idea he 'mistimed' his questions isn't credible. He purposely interrupted."

"Munro told other reporters after Obama's statement, 'I'm asking questions. Because you people won't,'" Zwillich tweeted....

What I want to know is how did The One know to say “Now’s not the time for questions” when obviously those exact words couldn’t have been on the holy teleprompter? And how did he find his place again so fast on it? The genius skill of The One never ceases to amaze me! He is a legend!

"Munro told other reporters after Obama's statement, 'I'm asking questions. Because you people won't.'"

BOOM! Tucker Carlson needs to give this man a big raise! The hysterical reaction of the White House Press Chorus proves his point.

Obama’s announcement yesterday shows how far he has come in no longer abiding by laws or needing Congress. He is ruling by decree and the Congress does nothing.

there is no sign of life for our republic..as far as I am concerned it is time to take the federal “g” down to where it belongs, responsible to us. Things are so far out of control that the media has to follow some BS code of ethics while listening to pure BS dribble. What are the folks to do, president orders all to shut up, should they..Hell No, screw that B hole..I’d like to see it everyday, Mr President, the American people are sick of your fake BS ethics which you use to manipulate and bend the law at will..do you know we are a christian nation and that your administration has only made everything worse..

I was sitting right in my kitchen when I heard all this on the radio. I would not have heard this guy’s comments at all if it had not been for the little tantrum the president had over it, because most of what the reporter said was not on the microphone being used for the broadcast. Once again, another incidence of this man be so very un-presidential and petty.

Later when I heard more of what the president said, I was as usual thoroughly disgusted. I told my sons that he sounded like a school teacher who was having a good time bullying around a student in front of his class. That is exactly what it reminded me of.

No, no...Munro is RIGHT. This president IS finished. He better be. If we have much more of this, his administration is going to cause a full-blown civil war.

Obama is always scolding adults, US citizens. I can not remember one upbeat, grown-up public speech as president.

I think the Obama reaction was so big, because the reported was questioning the wisdom of the amnesty and how this will only hurt the unemployed competing for jobs.

He became so defensive because of the truth.

Maybe he really did think he was finished.

Notwithstanding, does anyone remember when "dissent" was "patriotic"?

It would have been so delicious to get in the face of Zero. Not only does he continue to flaunt the laws of this country, but his arrogance is beyond belief.

Yes we should pay more respect to the fuhrer and bow before the dignity of his press with a long history a respect for his excellency (when democrat)! Ah, YES history of the press!

“But to me, I guess, Dan just reeks of insincerity.”

I am glad to see a reporter throw a monkey wrench into the gears of the Obamatron machine.

It IS time to be revolutionary, and whether or not the intentions were such many can view this as a revolutionary act, the intentions were obvious.

At the risk of being put in a dangerous position we should ALL challenge Obama at whatever opportunity.

And its plain to see the cracks and fissures getting deeper and wider in the dam. Munro you may have started a revolution in your own way, good work.

Munro went around the lamestream press to ask if the commie preferred foreigners to Americans. Munro did the right thing because it was the right thing to do! [as the commie says].
