If Y2K wasn’t a problem then why did companies waste billions of dollars to upgrade systems and thousands of man hours on it?

Isn’t what you and so many that like to bring up T2K saying a lot like say the Weather service makes a river flood crest warning of 29 feet the leeve is only 28 feet so the National Gaurd, Corp of Engineers, residents and hundreds of voluteers spend days filling sand bags to raise the leeve to 30 feet they get it to 29 1/2 foot the river crest at 29 foot and the flooding is avoided. So now you make fun of the Weather service because there was no flood? There was no flood because there was a WARNING and people then heeded that warning and took action to prevent a disaster.

You are so right Kart. I spent the better part of 2 years preparing for Y2K - not storing food, but fixing computer systems. Tens of thosands like me did it too and the catastrophe was avoided. People who make fun of the Y2K threat are truly clueless and insult those who worked so hard to avoid disaster. The difference this time around is that SHTF can’t be fixed. It may be avoided if it’s God’s will, but there’s no hardware upgrades, bios fixes or software patches to innoculate you. If the day of reckonoing comes, and you haven’t prepared, best of luck.

Please add me to your prepper ping list.

Ask them not me.

They sure wasted a lot of money on hysteria...on something that never happened. In the end, Y2K was never a problem. It was in invention. It was pure hysteria.

Because they waisted money it made it true? But everyone can spend their money as they foolishly and stupidly as they wish. That’s not my problem.

Stupid is as stupid does.
