Let’s be honest. It is harder to get an ID if you aren’t an American citizen. Fake IDs cost much more, and minorities have to prioritize their expenditures, so it isn’t fair to them. Not to mention the embarrassment of having to lie to government officials and employers.

Why would they be offended? Charlotte Manning of the NAACP yesterday said that blacks were too stupid to be expected to do more than just make it to the workplace.

I keep hearing liberals whine about an undue burden on minorities. What I want to know is: "Who are these mythical people who go through life without I.D.?"

If we assume the poorest of the poorest are those receiving government benefits (isn't that the purpose of the social safety net?), how do these people get their benefits? You can't open a bank account without I.D.; you can't cash a paper check without I.D. In fact, don't they have to show I.D. to apply for benefits in the first place?

Without I.D. they can't get utilities, can't buy tobacco or liquor, can't drive, and can't get a public transit subsidy. They can't buy tobacco. They can't get medical services (I'm asked for picture I.D. at every doctor's office and diagnostic facility I go to). If fact, you can't buy certain over-the-counter decongestents without it. You can't legally get a job without I.D.

Of course you can't buy a gun without ID, or ammunition. So how can one legally live in America without I.D?

Well, if you own your own shelter and live by hunting and gathering, always travel on foot, never buy tobacco or alchohol, never receive medical treatment or get public utilities or cable tv, I guess you could get by. I guess you coud get by if you own your own home, generate your own electricity, only use free TV and radio, and have enough cash to buy your food and clothing without having to go to work - but if you had that much cash, you wouldn't be exactly poor. So the only way I can figure that someone can live in the U.S. without ID is by living exclusively through illegal and fraudulent means, or pitching a tent in the forest and hunting your food by bow and arrow (remember, you'd have to show I.D. to get ammo for a gun).

So just what are the figures on legally resident minorities who obey the law and live a sustinence exist based on hunting with bow and arrow and gathering? My guess is that it wouldn't be a big number? So who ARE these people that won't be able to vote because they don't have I.D. Show me some actual legal U.S. citizens who live now without I.D., except those you support themselves exclusively on criminal activity.

I'm waiting ....

You forgot a major constituency of the DemonRat Party - criminals deliberately avoiding owning their true identity.

Without the criminal class vote, Minnesota would not have Al FranKlown as its junior Senator.

I guess the people who oppose this law don’t care that illegal voters dilute the influence of their legitimate votes.

Oh, well. Talk about disenfranchisement.

That is exactly why I think they need to be made to put up specific individuals - so the public can see they are either extreme cases (like advanced stage alzheimer patients) or criminals - neither of whom should be voting!
