That's my main problem with this story. My second big problem is that I've seen this story at least 20 times on FR with a clear inference that it's some sort of proof that Holmes is OWS.
As you point out, San Diego isn't New York and this photo isn't proof of anything - unless someone can show that Holmes was in NY in the time-frame of the incident in the photo. I doubt if that is the case but you never know.

Not if he was merely detained at the site. But they might have run his ID, and if so, that ping should be available to an FOIA.

Looks nothing like him. Plus it would have been difficult for Holmes to get time off from classes and his work in the lab to go out protesting in another part of the country.

There might be some connection to Black Bloc or some other violent protest group, but the evidence for that has not been found or released to the public yet.

could be why the case got sealed very quickly. That arrest would have shown up as soon as they ran his id.
If that’s not The Joker in that pic than someone else surely knows who that guy is. We need to find out who it is in that pic. Shouldn’t be that difficult to find out.

The evidence is rather weak he is connected.....it would not surprise me if he was....but the dots are pretty distant to make that connection...

That there isn’t enough proof it is Holmes in the picture is true, but it has not been debunked. We do not know if it is him or not.
