Romney should NEVER show more tax returns not even in a “My transcripts for your returns” deal

The amoral Democrats led by the crooked Harry Reid have demanded Mitt Romney release his tax returns.

Reid is claiming a “secret caller” ( as if he would EVER come to the phone for an unidentified and unknown person) told him he/she had absolute knowledge that while Romney was at Bain Capital he failed to pay his taxes for ten years.

Aside from the fact that this charge is coming from a group of proved liars and thieves, it’s ridiculous in its face.

The history of how the IRS has handled high profile tax evaders makes it impossible for Romney to have revaded federal income taxes for ten years during his time at Bain which ended thirteen years ago.

Over the recent past the IRS has prosecuted and jailed some very high profile Americans without regard for their station in life. They sent Richard Hatch “the naked Gay Guy” from Survivor to prison for not paying his federal taxes and they didn’t wait 13 years to do so.

Wesley Snipes is currently in prison for failing to file his returns and they caught up to him in seven years. The IRS sent Al Capone to federal prison for income tax evasion in 1931 proving he had failed to pay his taxes just six to two years before his arrest.

The point here is that the IRS doesn’t treading easy on “big fish” so Reid’s charge is demonstrably false. Mitt Romney should never ever consider following the idiotic advice from fools like the naive bunch of rubes at the National Review and the treacherous simpletons at the New Hampshire Union Leader.

There is nothing but down side to Romney’s releasing his back tax returns...

Romney should show his tax return in exchange for Bambi’s BC, school records, travel documents to Pakistan, etc.

If Romney is vetted, so should 0.

You are correct regarding the complexity.

BS

It might be complex for you, but it's not complex for professionals..

Ya see there are tax experts who do this kind of thing for a living, everyday, and if there are obvious discrepancies they'll be noted in record time.

This isn't rocket science.

Like a good poker player, Romney should call and raise, demanding that Obama must do the same.

"I'll see your ten years of tax returns and raise you all of our college transcripts, passport applications, and selective service records. Otherwise, stuff it."

I thought he should release them at first. Now I say the hell with the Dems. Even if he has nothing to hide, the tax laws are so complex and byzantine that they will be poured over by the press for months. Accusations will be thrown out, to a public that has no idea what is legal or illegal as far as tax deductions go, in the hope that something sticks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Washington Post may ask their readers to examine the returns they way they asked them to examine Palin’s emails. It's all about a fishing expedition for a scandal whether it exists or not, courtesy of the MSM Obama droolers.

Romney should tell the dirty fifthy scum sucking dog Harry Reid that if he releases his tax returns and prove Reid is a lying POS he must resign immediately ....

but it certainly looks like he’s hiding something by not releasing his returns.

Exactly, if he’s clean he has nothing to lose by releasing his returns. If he’s clean he has nothing to gain by holding back. It appears that one of the things the elites like is dirty candidates that can be controlled.

I don't think so; I think he's just saying personal intrusiveness goes no further.

I remember back during the Bush campaign when they asked him if he had done cocaine. He refused to answer and many assumed he had. But, in fact, he had decided that he they had done enough personal dirt-digging and it was time to stop answering questions. Finally saying "no" is the only way to stop them going down a road that is going nowhere.

If Mitt had this kind of dirt, the MA democrat or the GOP opposition candidates would have unearthed it years ago.

He shouldn’t release any more returns than required because if any of his accountants made even a $10 mistake it will be in bold headlines in all the MSM media. This is what they are hoping for. We are dealing with Chicago tactics folks. These Clintonian tactics include trying to find anything to smear your opponent. Romney is smart not to play their game.

No, i don't think being rich equals doing cocaine. We already got an admitted cocaine user and he's not particularly rich ~ or maybe not ~ Chicago mobsters are slick eh.

So, what does Mitt really think about his money ~ just how bad does he want to be President, or is he planning to lose.

obama’s transcripts will never see the light of day. * UNLESS * some college office worker had the foresight to copy them thinking if obama won it may be worth something down the road, as a collectable or something. If someone advertised five million tax-free dollars and guarantee of anonymity for a copy, one may suddenly appear. Other than that....it will never happen.

The law allows the President to review your tax records and my tax records. I’d like to review his.

This could be easily tested. I don't have a voice, but what would happen if people started flooding his line with calls, but refused to identify themselves?

It is quite conceivable that Romney could have paid zero taxes - LEGALLY - for a period of years - if he had suffered a major capital loss. That is because Romney’s income is almost entirely composed of capital gains and not income. Large carry-forward and carry-back losses can wipe out years of relatively small profits in passive investments, if the loss was significant enough from an aggressive investment.

Red herring. Bill Clinton served two full terms, and his impeachment wasn’t based on failure to disclose anything about his pre-presidential actions. If Obama goes, it won’t be due to lying about his background, it’ll be about his performance.

If he’s clean he has nothing to gain by holding back.

He has a lot to lose by releasing without first demanding Obama’s records be unsealed.

The dems will try to tear his tax records apart and make very simple claims of fraud, evasion etc. Can you imagine how difficult it will be to explain one item targeted by the dems in such a complicated filing?

Dems would make one simple charge after another
Mitt would spend his entire time left before the vote trying to explain to voters, a large percentage who would not understand the a complicated answer but might only remember the dem accusation.

He shouldn’t release. He has everything to lose and little to gain.

He has a lot to lose by releasing. If he releases the time and energy he’d have to expend defending would be 100 times that of a simple charge made by the MSM or the dems.

Problem is: he’d spend the rest of his time before the vote on the defensive even is he is completely squeaky clean. Dems would throw charge after charge at him and take the spotlight off of their huge failure. distraction is their game. Don’t play, Mitt.

I say he should pull an Obama and simply say no. He’s followed the law and that’s all that’s necessary.

Exactly right.

We saw what the RATs and their media lapdogs did with the “When-did-Romney-leave-Bain?” non-issue. They were able to keep a false premise at the forefront of political discussion for several weeks, even though the phoney charges were refuted constantly.

The Tax Code is complicated and not understood by many outside of tax lawyers and CPA’s. A ‘bumper-sticker’ negative charge by a RAT could take pages to explain, not that the RATs would be listening, they’d be moving on to their next lie as they always do.

We must remember, Lies and an ignorant electorate are RATs’ most important tools. To Marxists the ends justify the means. There is no honesty.

True, it’s his call, but there is a cost to him either way.
