Picture this: an eleven-year-old child attends a public school. One day at school, her teacher overhears her talking to a friend. The child is telling her friend that her mom believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. Because of laws now in place, the teacher must get the principal, and the child is taken to the office.
The mother is tracked down at her job and arrested. The child’s father is away on business and cannot get back immediately; there is no one around to take care of the young girl, so the child is put in temporary custody with a foster parent until suitable arrangements can be made for her care.

Besides, saying “I do not support same sex marriage” is not “hate”
I also believe that Gays would be excluded from the generally accepted “protected classes” (race, national origin, etc.)
If it keeps up “straights” will have to be a protected class, as Gays hold sway.

True that the tide would allow thought crimes and hate speech or even hate innuendo to become “law”, but the courts would smack it down. Just like they allow flags to be burned, allow the Rev Phelps “church” to scream epithets at funerals, etc.

Right. Canada also put Mark Steyn on trial for hate speech when he tried to describe the goals of Islam. He eventually won but it was nip and tuck.
Someone at DU got a hold of my article and published the first portion of it, about the child being taken to foster care. That’s exactly what would happen if there was no one to take her. Of course, they only printed the first portion of the article.
