Early in TLS's history I used to write haiku (I don't profess to be an expert at it) as a sort of fun challenge on how to comment on political stuff.
I dusted off a few old ones, and came up with some new ones for this post.
Oh! You were the one!
One day a Kenyan, an Indonesian, and a Muslim walk into a bar...
..and the bartender says “Order whatever you want Mr. President, but I still think you’re an a**hole.”
I hope you have a day job.
Children are soldiers
We send into the future
The Bible for bullets
The Limerick.
Obama, a man of no worth
With his wooky of oversized girth
Rode his ghost written books
And his sound bites and hooks
To election with no proof of birth
;-)
I was the one...what? :-)
For a while FR had a “shoot on sight” policy about Haiku threads.
I don’t think that was me...I didn’t do them that often, and I didn’t share all of them here.
I don’t even know why it was, but for a short while if the work “Haiku” appeared in the title, poof. Some admin really hated Haikus. I think it was before your time.
