Dems Say Budget Deficit Not Appropriate Debate Topic
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 18 Aug 2012 | John Semmens

Posted on 08/18/2012 10:52:47 AM PDT by John Semmens

Representatives Mike Honda (D-Calif), Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill) issued a statement demanding that the issue of the federal deficit be excluded from any upcoming presidential debates, saying it would give the Republicans an unfair advantage.

“The President has been forced to take actions that those outside of government, like Mitt Romney, have been able to avoid,” Nadler pointed out. “For him to be called upon to defend those actions at this time would present a fundamentally unbalanced tenor to those debates, especially when Mr. Romney has continued to refuse to disclose all of his personal tax records.”

Nadler went on to assail the broader notion that “fiscal responsibility and economic success ought to be used as some sort of measure of whether the President’s policies are appropriate. Not everyone is fiscally responsible or economically successful. If I had to guess, I’d say that a majority of Americans are not. Shouldn’t a democratically elected government carry out policies that are more suitable for this majority?”

Cowardice is never pretty. It’s even worse on parade, especially when Nadler and Schakowsky are involved.

Satire yes but with MSM moderators who knows what restrictions will be in place.

The uniformly leftist debate moderators have just been given their marching orders by the stalinist party. You can be sure they will comply fully and suppress any attempt to raise the forbidden topics.

This is where we will all wish it was Newt at the podium.

He would say whatever he wanted no matter what the question was. Once on that stage with the whole country watching you can say whatever you like....moderators be damned. They can’t stop you...if they tried then Newt would hand them their ass.

I hope Newt is going to be Romney’s debate coach.

John, John..
The MSM officiating will see to it the subject comes up only in passing.

Romney’s question...What’s the donkey population of Slovenia?

Zer0’s question...What’s your favorite breakfast?

Just the fact that the debates will be hosted by rats in so called journalist clothing is enough, now they want to control the questioning so thier leader is shown in a glorious light. Let’s talk about golf, vacationing, healthy foods, gardening on the great lawn, thier first kiss, what the girls like to do in thier spare time. The scummedia is in his court and will not fail to do the kings bidding. This will only reconfirm the drone vote, a crushing defeat will be music to my ears, a defeat his father will feel and a good kodak moment of the two of them on election night when the smack down occurs. hallaluh brother pass the popcorn!
