Dateline: Tel Aviv, sometime in the next six weeks

From this moment the State of Israel declares a state of war exists between the State of Israel and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Because Israel views the threats by the government of the IRI in conjunction with its efforts to develop nuclear weapons and means of delivery as existential threats, Israel will take all actions necessary, specifically including unilateral and preemptive military action, to protect its citizens from the threats posed by representatives of the government of the IRI and to assure Israel's continued survival.

To minimize civilian casualties, the population of Iran should immediately and permanently evacuate populated areas within the IRI. We intend to demolish the government of the IRI and its current leadership and to permanently destroy the capacity of the Islamic Republic of Iran to manufacture weapons of mass destruction and to reduce, for generations, its capacity to manufacturer modern weapons.

Hmmm, didn't he just return from Israel? His campaign has been refreshingly proactive (beating Obama to visit Isaac victims, etc.) and maybe there's a Plan afoot. After all, he may be more "flexible" after the election.

The US used EMP weapons freely in the Serbia conflict, against the non-muslim populations. Not nuclear but straight explosion-pumped emps. Easy and cheap munitions. The jihadis have been daydreaming of making this stuff in their kitchen factories.

A nuclear-pumped emp at high altitude is a bit more effective, of course, but nothing one can’t protect against.

If Israel uses nukes,even to create an EMP, {and i don’t think the idea has ever been examined outside the theory,(and I know about Hawaii in 62)}, everyone will condemn them and declare them an outlaw. Obama will do so and Romney will have to agree. Iran will close the Straits, oil prices will double at least and our election will devolve into chaos as both sides stuggle to ask the right questions, let alone find the right answers.It will be a horror.

Or, Romney could point out the realities of self-preservation and how one must sometimes take action - especially when they can't trust their "allies" to not set them up for extinction. Granted that there would be a bump in gas proces and chaos though - but it might also demonstrate the importance of our "interference" to maintain some semblance of order in the world vs. the destabilizations that Obama has instigated.

My guess is before / within six weeks!
