I have a question now that "Eastwooding" is now the new internet meme.
Where is the chair and who owns it now?
I think after Thursday's speech this empty chair would have a significant historical and/or collectable value.
Many FReepers have no doubt spent time watching countless episodes of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Cajun Pawn Stars, Hardcore Pawn etc. After watching re-runs of these this weekend I have to ask this question. Where is the chair now and is there a certificate of it?
I would love to see what the sale of this item could bring as a fundraising tool for the RNC.
good question
BTW, you can “Abandoned” on the National Georgraphic Channel to the list of those shows.
Maybe Romney should take it on the campaign trail.
They should put it in the Smithsonian right next to Archie Bunker’s chair, Magnum’s tacky Hawaiian shirt, and Columbo’s raincoat.
Steve Martin? (like in The Jerk)
The “chair” should travel with the Romney / Ryan Campaign.
They should just sit it on the stage next to the Podium and not even acknowledge that it’s there. Just walk around it.
I have a “Clint for Mayor” button from 1986 in Carmel.
I agree. It should go on the campaign trail with Romney and Ryan. Inside joke.
I like that idea a lot! They could hang an empty picture frame over it to symbolize the birth certificate, a suit coat on a hanger to represent the empty suit, and throw pennies into the crowd (change) ;-)
I have a chair.
Send me 750K, and I will sell it to you.
With an official receipt of sale.
Are your sure you are a conservative?
It changes the “optics”. Obama isn't being ridiculed, he is being ignored, a fate worse than death for a Narcissist and the Sycophants who adore him.
Take an empty plastic chair and put it in your front yard on Monday with a sign on it saying “Empty Chair”.
A subtle protest, but, it’s going viral.
The empty chair should be a center point prop in this campaign, commercial adds and at the acceptance speech on election eve when romney sits in the empty chair
