I think what Jews are most extremely afraid of is their children becoming Christians and this fear has been passed down through centuries. Many must demonize and marginalize Christians to keep their kids from investigating and being attracted to the truth, the fact that Jesus is the Messiah.
And there is no connection whatsoever between Judaism as a religion and communism. In fact, Jews in the Soviet Union faced severe repression from the Soviet government over its entire period of existence, to a greater extent than other minorities and religious groups.
Jews will not be voting anywhere near 85-90% 'Rat in the US this year. Obama would be very fortunate to get 60% and may well get less than that. Things are turning toward the right direction in the Jewish community and the events of the last few days in the Arab world, in addition to Zero's new snub of Netanyahu, will only hurt him even more there.

It takes a lot for a Jew to wake up. Many Jews live in denial but the Israeli Jew does not. The Israeli Jew knows that death is close at hand and knows that all these prior movements for change failed - save one, Zionism. Zionism saved (and continues to save) Jews. Jews know that this movement...is for them and not for the Cossacks. Today, any Jew that votes for Hussein is, in all manners a fool, naive and a usefull idiot.
As a Jewish American Freeper with plenty of leftist relatives. I can tell you that they are plagued by the same disease that Dems rely on and which got Hussein into office... They are good, if not smart, people who believe in journalism, in the “unbiased reporting” New York Times and LA Times, and who also believe in “social justice” the notion of an infinitely flexible Constitution, a woman’s Right to Choose death and other generic products of nanny state thinking. Bad people? No. Charitable, patriotic, loving citizens. Just people who are deeply, tragically indoctrinated.... Like many Christians.

Somewhat insulting. All religions feel theirs is the right way for their flock’s children. Do you want your children converting to Judaism? Be kind. The Jews around here are smart and conservative and detest Obama. We don’t fear Christians. We believe the truths of Christianity are truths for Christianity. We are happy for you but have a different theology, equally Gd fearing.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that someone else noticed this. I’m not sure if they are trying to call Obama antisemitic, or if this is a pun on “the Death of the Gods” ie Obama.
The Jewish religion does not condone evangelism (trying to convert others) but neither does it condone intermarriage. This last bit was a big problem most recently for Napoleon, who wanted to fully integrate (ie. secularize) the Jews of France. At the same time, most Jews are as ignorant of Christianity’s tenets as Christans are of Jewish tenets. And may I add... The United States of America is the only country ever in the history of the world in which more Christians convert to Judaism than Jews convert to Chistianity. (source: Telushkin) Are “average Jews” afraid of the “Good News”? I don’t think so... But they ARE fiercely loyal to their peoplehood and traditions. What most Christians don’t seem to understand is that Jesus himself was one of us. His followers were Jews, too... And it was only after Saul (Paul) and, in time the Romans began forging a highly marketable version of the Church, that the religions stopped resembling each other so closely.

Seeker, I do not share your optimism. American Christians care about Israel more than American Jews. They are indoctrinated, conditioned to vote Leftist. One would hope they'd learn, but one would be wrong.
Believe it or not, there are pockets of politically conservative Jews within the geographical boundaries of NYC, specifically in the "outer boroughs." They were instrumental in electing Congressman Bob Turner in a special election to fill Anthony Weiner's vacated seat last year. Unfortunately, Turner has been redistricted out of his seat for the forthcoming election.
These pockets of politically conservative Jews tend to have a disproportionate number of Orthodox Jews as well as more recently arrived Soviet (and other communist-bloc) Jews and their descendants. Those two subgroups will be voting overwhelmingly for Romney this year.
As for Bloomberg, he is a detestable big government nanny statist on a local level, but he did win the mayoralty three times running on the Republican line. In other words, he beat 'Rats. Though he is ideologically close to them in some respects, he seems to have managed to lower the level of the corruption that is inherent in openly 'rat machine-controlled city government (as in Chicago).
I wouldn't call Bloomberg a "pure communist" either, but rather a crony capitalist who is part of the obnoxious MSM.
In all of Marx’s voluminous writings, including private letters, there is no hint of anything like ‘Jewish’ influences. His political writings stemmed from pre-Marx socialist thinkers like Fourier, Blanqui and Prodhoun, and from philosophers popular in intellectual circles like Rousseau and Hegel.
When Marx wrote of Jews (never nostalgically), he used the popular stereotypes of his time and place without any particular insight or originality.
But calling Bloomberg a "Republican" ... even a RINO, is a cruel hoax. This SOB is Che Guevara without the charm. And along the way, he has managed to almost completely undo RINO Giuliani's good work in turning NYC into (almost) a fit place for habitation by a normal human. (Even the mad dog Lefties who turned against Giuliani will begrudgingly concede that he accomplished that!)
Under Bloomberg, NYC is once again becoming a filthy mess ...a cross between Lagos and Lima... with a delightful meringue on top of Bloomberg and his Southampton pals.
